Anyone listening to the new Lamb of God? I've been going through their back catalogue, and though they've been criticized for being too "samey," the music holds up. Wrath sounds good all the way and the new one is getting better with every listen.

I implore those of you who enjoy bands like Arch Enemy, early In Flames and Agalloch to check out Insomnium. Best listened to on cloudy days when you hate most everyone and everything.

I really like the drums.

I also think the newest Trivium album is pretty good

The new L.O.G. cd is f'n awesome. The first 2 songs, taken together, get me so pumped. The way that drum beat sews them together is one of my personal favorite metal riffs.

Thoughts on the new Meshuggah? I wasn't blown away despite all the positive hype surrounding it.

I guess I was hoping for some huge step forward from them and didn't quite get it.

I like it. But it's meshuggah, so I'll need to listen to the whole album about 10,000 more times in order to fully comprehend it and give a reasonable judgement and comparison to other meshuggah albums.

Yes and I really like it. I'm a big fan of these guys and the new album definitely doesn't dissapoint. Can't get enough of the Adler brothers.

Definitely a deftones fan. Did anyone notice on the Black Dahlia Murder/Nile tour that BDM is headlining? Not sure what that says about Nile nowadays...

I was actually a bit disappointed with Resolution, when I first got Sacrament and Wrath I probably listened to both for a week or two straight. Not sure why, but this album didn't have the same hook.

LOG live is amazing though.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but the Metal Evolution show is very interesting if you enjoy seeing the different origins of Metal.

I really liked it. There's thing I'd like to have seen, but I think he did an amazing job with what he did cover. I think the Florida death metal scene in the late 80's and some of the early 2k East Coast metal bands that were 10x's better then the ones that ended up with all of the popularity.

I recall liking 1 or 2 deftones songs, but I sure as hell never liked linkin park or limp bizkit. I knew those hacks were posers even when I was 15 years old brah. In '97 I was listening to nirvana, early metallica, classic rock and green jelly, but I wouldn't be caught dead jamming to that d-bag poser ****.
