oops I should have known that one

In other news, the blood type discussion had me interested in confirming mine, which I was only 99% sure of, so I ordered a kit off amazon for a couple of bucks.

super easy instructions:

and easy to read the results:

comes with a little piece of paper with a few circles containing reactive reagents:

so all you do is put a drop of water in each circle, use an included lancet to jab a finger, put a drop of blood in each circle, stir a few seconds, then receive a result in under a minute:

Type O+ master race reporting in! We clock in with a massive 38% of the USA#1 population in our unstoppable ranks:

That reminds me. Kaiser just mailed me something to collect my poop. I don't want to do that, but I guess I should. Too late today, maybe tomorrow.

This made me look up why O is so prevalent despite being recessive. Apparently, type A and type B mutations only started showing up 20,000 years ago so I guess I am a member of the New Mutants.

Keep in mind that whether a gene is dominant/recessive is not necessarily relevant to its prevalence in a population if it doesn't provide an advantage/disadvantage that affects survival of the organism. All that really matters in that case is frequency in the population. That's why certain dominant genes are seen less frequently expressed than their recessive counterparts. Check out the Hardy-Weinberg principle for more info:

Quote:
The Hardy–Weinberg principle, also known as the Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium, model, theorem, or law, states that allele and genotype frequencies in a population will remain constant from generation to generation in the absence of other evolutionary influences. These influences include genetic drift, mate choice, assortative mating, natural selection, sexual selection, mutation, gene flow, meiotic drive, genetic hitchhiking, population bottleneck, founder effect and inbreeding.

You are correct Chop. Good call.

I've been encouraging my unemployed sister, who gets a small disability check, to apply for one of the many hundreds of jobs available at the new Encore Winn, which is about to open near Boston, MA.

There is a question about whether or not the applicant is disabled. Answer options are yes, no, or I prefer not to answer.

What's the best answer? Is it yes, because they have to fill so many positions with disabled people?

If she gets a full time job she'll lose her disability check so does that mean she won't be disabled?

Should she just answer no, so they think she is strong like bull, and ready to work hard?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Do they?

If she is capable of working full time, why is she receiving a disability check?

Will her disability require accommodation? If so, say yes. If not, pick whichever of the other two you feel most comfortable with.

I dunno if she's capable but she's going to try.

She was/is a hair stylist. She fell and badly broke bones in her forearm and neck area. She cannot cut hair full time (stand in one spot and use that forearm for 8 hours) but she's mobile and stuff. Maybe she starts with part time.

The disability check is so small she's going to stay in poverty unless she gets a job and that really sucks. I am encouraging her to at least try and see where it goes.

No her disability doesn't require any accommodation. She seems very active to me.

fyi her accident and resulting injuries happened twenty years ago.

I'm having trouble coming up with a casino job (other than management) where you aren't constantly using your forearms. Maybe driving the floor-shampooing zamboni (with one arm?)

She can use her forearm just fine. She can't do repetitive movements all day with it, like cutting hair.

There are jobs like receptionist, greeter, spa attendant, which I think she can do.

you do realize she'll be competing with hot young girls for those jobs? (well, Boston hot anyway)
03-06-2019 , 12:57 PM
Seems like something that should definitely be disclosed, especially if they're directly asking. What you're describing suggests that she needs to be in a very specific role or her disability could be an issue. Standing and doing repetitive movements aren't exactly uncommon expectations for a low-level employee, even if it's not explicitly in the job description.

Hot young girls with best butts on instagram?

I figure the hot young girls would be cocktail waitresses or steakhouse waitresses.

Whoops! My bad! I thought you were the one who started the best butts on instagram thread, but you're not. That dude has a similar avatar; George Washington wacking off, almost exactly like your avatar.

This thread is making me feel very sturdy. I can survive a night's sleep without needing medical or chiropractic treatment regardless of the pillow.

I keep thinking of hilarious posts for this thread and then deleting them.

cocktail waitresses would not be even hired as employees, but under a modeling contract

she's not hot and six years older than me, so she's not young either. I get your point but there are so many jobs.

Deleting them because you don't want to offend me.

That shouldn't stop her at all.
There should be plenty or jobs available where the customers won't see her.
