I was reluctant to post any PC tips and do feel some of them aren't exactly what people are expecting.

Here's a pretty solid one.

Buy microfiber cloths. Do not under any circumstance get them from wal-mart. Autozone has good ones fairly cheap, and I've heard Sams Club does, too. I want to say I spent $10 on a 6 pack.

Anyways, the two best applications I've found for these besides cleaning a vehicle are cleaning mirrors and cleaning monitors.

To clean a monitor, get one of them wet, they don't really absorb much water, but that's fine.

Rub it all over your window.

now take a dry one, and rub it all over your window.

Any streaks behind, simply take a dry one, and rub it over that spot. I have a pretty big mirror in my bathroom and it takes like five days for it to get covered in ****(i eat a lot of fiber) and I just keep two of these in there, it's definitely under a minute to clean the entire thing.

No streaks, lint, nothing. It's just so ****ing easy.

To do your monitors do the exact same thing. Easiest solution ever. **** you Windex.

for a cheaper method, use a normal cloth with water/soap? and wipe down with crumbled piece of newspaper.

pro tip: stop trying to hit the bowl from 10 feet off, and actually sit on the toilet seat.

You can also hit Alt+F4 to close an app quickly, and ctrl V to paste

CTRL + D will minimize everything. Man discovering that when I was 14 = clutch

As far as the browser zoom goes, yes, it's very useful, especially as you use larger monitors. You can even set it to zoom just text. In firefox you just go in view-> Zoom.

To do it In IE you simply navigate to www.firefox.com install that quickly add on and then go from there.
for clarification is Windows Key + D = "show desktop" which minimizes everything. CTRL+D doesn't do much and is program dependent. Shows your time bank balance in FTP though.

I was tempted to try those Ototek ear things, but there's only one place in TN that sells them, apparently, and their online ordering page isn't a secure website.

-On a 2 way highway / interstate, don't pass trucks who are in the left lane. They only are in the left lane to pass slower cars in the right lane. So moving to the right lane will put you behind the car that the truck is passing.

So you assume all trucks have optimum passing strategy? Just check out both lanes and see where your chance to make a move is. I ****ing hate trucks who try to pass trucks and then just drive side by side at the same speed.

Don't know if this qualifies as a life trick but here goes.

Holiday shopping - I have started making my shopping list on an envelope - inside the envelope I keep my cash/cards I am going to use to shop and a pen. When I buy something I cross it off the list and put the receipt into the same envelope. Makes it quick and convenient for people who may want to return, along with keeping an update to date list and track of how much you spent.

Say you are at a convention or a fancy dinner with a big round table (bread and water is all ready set on the table).

The easiest way to remember which water/bread plate is yours...

Make an ok sign like the pic below. The right hand makes a "d" and the left hand a "b" which is also how your table is set: Drink on right side and bread on left side.

I'm missing something here. Why not just say drinks are on the right bread is on the left? Why the OK sign?
