Superglue works great to close up lacerations and cuts that would normally require sutures for those without insurance or if you are camping, backpacking ect.

Caffeine can ease asthma symptoms if no other treatment is availible. Disclaimer: This is not an approprate substitute for albuterol or epi in a severe case.

I stole it anyway from a 2002 Usenet posting in a frugal living group. He was trolling.

-buy a tongue scraper and use it regularly. Much more effective than brushing the tongue.

-buy disposable/flushable baby wipes to use in combination with TP for when taking poos. You will be MUCH cleaner.

-you can bypass debit card daily limits by putting the purchase as 'credit' instead of 'debit'

Where do you buy a toungue scraper? Do they sell them near the toothbrushes at the pharmacy? I can't recall ever seeing one when I go to buy a toothbrush.

As did I. Though I thought #1 was clearly better than any of the rest of them, but it was so good it made up for it.

They are:
Monday = Blue
Tuesday = Green
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow.
So if today was Thursday, you would want a red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.
omg. most helpful thing so far ITT. still 4 pages left to read but this is mind boggling.

if its late and you're stuck at a stoplight with no one else around you can quickly flash your hi beams like 5 or 6 times and you will immediately get a green light since many stoplights are programmed to recognize this as an ambulance or firetruck

why would it have to be late with no one else around for this to work? wouldn't traffic lights recognize emergency vehicles even during regular traffic hours when it would actually be useful? Why would you repeat this nonsensical bull**** you heard? Do you sit at traffic lights flashing your lights like an OCD freak?

This rumor/bs stems from the fact that there are certain cities who's lights actually do change in response to emergency vehicles, but you cant "flash your brights", lol, at a light to get it to change

If you have an xbox 360, a ps3 or any kind of media center, you should be downloading your TV/movies, seriously; and take the time to learn how to do it right.

Pomegranates can be easily cleaned if submerged in water. Chop off top and bottom, run slits down sides and then break apart under water. Then just break down the thirds. The seeds sink and everything else floats.

depends where you are at. Doesn't work at all or even most stoplights but when it does work, it is clutch

I sure hope it comes with instructions. Do I put my fingers in the hook part and use the flat part on my tongue, or try to stick my tongue in the hole, or what do I do???

Lol. You take the loop (if the loop has one side with a "top" on it, that's the side down against your tongue), take it as far you can without gagging (happened a lot to me in the beginning), push it against your tongue and drag it forward. After each time, rinse the scraper and you'll see some gooey liquid coming off the first times. It's quite repulsive, but now you don't have that stuff in your mouth anymore!
Also, you don't want to overdo it.

Cant believe I just wrote that.
