My wife organized our daughter's wedding and reception in our front yard, which seems about the same size but was less well manicured at the time. It was a huge success for all parties that mattered.

We did ensure that nobody was able to see a neighbor's ladder from the yard.

As piling on goes, there were different renditions of this available.

There's an alternate version where you post your frustration of this, like:

RG: "Man, had to cancel the wedding and I'm taking a bath now on the deposit I put down. **** this pandemic."
OOT: "Ah that sucks. Sorry man. Yeah, **** this pandemic."

But instead there's this actual version where you...got mad at people for not wanting to attend. It would be irresponsible of people NOT to pile on, of course.

Yep. I mean, that's definitely how almost everyone - hopefully truly everyone - would respond to that circumstance though. He chose otherwise and then became angry at everyone else.

I'm actually still not 100% clear on whether it was a sunk cost anyway though. If his money was already gone, what is this drop-out date about?

"Mad" is too strong a word for those who don't show up. Disappointed would be better.
