I don't mind anyone posting, just there has to be an option for the panelists to (temp-)ban people from the thread like in H&F, e.g. for glass tapping or for quoting someone whom they've previously asked not to quote because of their presence on the ignore list. (I'm quite sure that Thremp will be on N1's list.)

For the balance of power:

1. A ban of a panelist from the thread can last for a maximum of 24 hours and must be pre-approved by a simple majority of panelists, and a minimum of 168 hours must pass between the bans of the same panelist from the thread.

2. A non-panelist can be banned by a panelist single-handedly for 24 hours, pending an investigation by the panel; the panel can vote for an extension of the ban or for a moratorium on bans of the same poster by the same panelist.

As for N1's tendencies of using a lot of emojis and ending affirmative statements with question marks, I think both tendencies are typical of current teenagers.

At least, when I was reading asexual forums, there were many posters who were ending statements (or even exclamations!) with question marks; as they explained to me, they were doing so to express their uncertainty about the statement, or sometimes just anxiety of any kind, as in the common title of a thread introducing oneself to the forum, 'um, hi?'; they weren't illiterate, they were deliberately using the question mark in a way that's not covered by academic dictionaries. We're witnessing the birth of a new grammatical phenomenon.

That overuse of question marks was making me cringe, but there's nothing I could do about that. I just made note of it as a millennial population tendency and moved on.

I've lost the count of Spin & Go regs who come to the Spin thread to ask how to calculate the chip EV. Yet, the EVs of most of them must be bigger than mine (partly due to the memorization of GTO databases, partly due to better intuition, and of course due to much bigger workaholism)

The most hilarious (and cringeworthy) thing about the situation is that a formula that I wrote lazily in that thread years ago has made it into custom PT4 stats verbatim (without any simplification) and is still being cited verbatim ITT.

Poker requires much more than the knowledge of arithmetic (and grammar to read strategy material). It requires choosing correct directions of learning (as per the 80/20 principle) and immense mental stamina.

N1's tendency to overanalyze everything is one of the reasons why I was insisting on him doubling down on the poker career, as that path is synergic with his inquisitive mind. Online poker in particular requires a lower level of social skill than most other occupations. What he has to do now is to earn money asap to escape the dreadful liquidity crisis. Personal development is a less urgent task.

Yes. As was "how do you say...", "Butthurt Rafa", (most likely) "Real Swiss #1", and maybe one other one that I don't remember. Pretty much got banned by posting in OOT every time instead of sticking with tennis threads.

I think I need to ban myself from reading mbabs log. It's just filled with rubbish.

I used to think it was really great how supportive some people have been in regards to her especially considering how her weight loss has stalled but I am beginning to think they may be doing her a disservice. She thrives on any attention good or bad. If people really want her to lose weight just stop posting until she actually is making an effort and give her praise and encouragement then. Atm she's getting everything she wants from her log.
