I meant to say buy ins. The payouts at the final table are several thousand dollars with generally a $200k+ gty from the casino and a few thousand players.

Also, if you play huge volumes of tournaments and are doing several in a day with those buy-ins then you have a large bankroll and are more numbed to the emotions of busting out. Your perception/rwactions change doing something several times and failing vs. every once in a while.

Yeah I could think of it as a get away with my bf and have fun, but I think going to win and winning would be more fun.

Repore with all of the women and compliments from all of the men for plays she made against good players.

She's there to win and make money, not have fun with Code, but if Code criticizes any of her plays or table talk he's a dick that ruined their romantic trip. All of the best poker players start bawling if you suggest a different line.

Of course winning is more fun and obviously trying to win is perfectly valid but you still sound hacked off about bubbling now. That's not good for you and your reaction at the table after being busted out wasn't great tbh. I would probably say something to my bf if he reacted like that to losing. It's not a good look.

Yeah back in the day I was playing $2-3k worth of MTTs/ day and I didn't play any buy-in over $109 except for Sundays. Playing live tournaments was def a big step back in terms of intensity/ stress not to mention being much much easier in terms of quality of opponents.

God damnit! I've moved on, but I kinda miss that ****!

You’ve often posted hands you thought you played well that were simply terrible, so you thinking you played well means nothing.

And what those guys said to you means absolutely nothing.

Code is probably right, but sometimes it's more important to be supportive than right, so by being right he was actually wrong.

Yeah the first step to getting good at poker is realizing you suck and that you don't really know anything. That's why she will never be good at poker. She takes every criticism as a personal attack and expects to be coddled when things don't go her way.

I've posted less than 5 hands out of the thousands that I've played and they were all bust hands, and I don't ever think I said that I thought I played them well.

Your entire statement is false.

M,

No. You’ve defended your play as being good in multiple hands with fundamentally unsound arguments. Your money though, so whatever.

I pretty much would take nothing anyone said to me at a poker table or on a break as being gospel. Half the time they're probably trying to get some info on how you play and the rest of the time they're assessing if they have any chance of getting you in the sack.

I suspect common sense and the ability to think critically.

Edit: damn, that pony was hella slow.

She's right you know? I pretty much just go along with the bull**** my dumbass opponents are saying even when I know they are 100% wrong. I say NH/ GG even when I don't mean it. I don't contribute anything meaningful when strat discussions are happening. I'm always very encouraging of bad players because I don't want them to feel dumb, but really I just want them to keep playing so I can continue taking their money.

You might say everything I do at a card table is just a magic show designed for my own benefit.

I will never be so good that I could write something like that about my play. I always make a bunch of mistakes which I see only afterwards.

Paying the bubble discussions are almost as much fun as tipping threads.

I will generally agree to pay the bubble because it speeds up hand-for-hand play. But I can’t stand chop discussions and when those start, I tend to say to the dealer “would you kindly deal, please” and put my headphones on to discourage further conversation.
