You have full control over both threads.

No reason for either of your threads to be turned sour or have anything in them you don't want.

Broader audience where people write whatever they want, or your threads where you get to decide the type of responses you get.

MLY, you need a therapist. I've made it mandatory for employees who are less basket-case than you before and when it didn't work (honestly, usually didn't), I fired them.

She quit OOT and kicked me out of her blog for too much directness. OOT and EDF are not the type of friendly, coddling environments she needs/wants.

The Lounge seems like the perfect fit.

Maybe she should change her user name to Goldilocks. OOT is too harsh; H&F is too coddling; etc. I thought maybe EDF could use the boost in traffic

I read her posts occasionally when I need a giggle or a wtf moment lift, but I have quit responding to her as I became concerned for her mental health and did not want to be an expedient to deterioration. She obviously doesn't take confrontation or criticism well, has little insight into her issues, and is generally non-compliant with mental health treatment. It is terribly hard to resist the temptation to poke a little fun at her, as we all know.

It's great how she's able to simultaneously hold the beliefs that she doesn't need a therapist because she has everything under control with her sleep graphs and positive thinking and whatnot, but also is possibly so crippled by her mental illness that she can't work.

Where does your daughter factor into this?

Disability pay usually sucks ass. You're likely to go on SS/medicare disability, which my dad collected on. The process took years and a huge amount of money and time.

He made about ~$2k/month and that was with 3 dependents.

You (and your daughter) are almost certainly better off dealing with your issues in therapy and thriving in a career.
