I have no care to engage in a FE discussion. It is like arguing over creationism vs. evolution.
All I can imagine is they have on their “side” is wysiwyg.
Moon landing on the other hand...
-Impenetrable Van Allen Radiation Belt
-Flag moving
-No man has been there in 45 years
And in 1969 they didn’t have technology to get there and back. In 2017, a self-driving car in Las Vegas didn’t even make it a day without getting in an accident.
I do think we have gone there. But even if we didn’t, we had to potentially fake it. I think we may have had a back-up plan in a studio.
From a guy who claims to be the cameraman who faked it.

By 1967, NASA was nowhere near living up to JFK’s goal of landing a man on the moon by the end of the decade. And then there was the rather nontrivial matter of the Van Allen radiation belts — the rings of charged particles held high above the Earth by its magnetic field. NASA had covertly tried sending a German shepherd through one of those belts. The poor dog was scrambled into kibbles and bits.
