I think it'd be fine to let him keep posting in the ESA thread. He's exposed for what he is and he persists in beating a dead horse, so if people want to keep engaging him there good for them. I don't think he should be allowed to screw up other threads though.

As terrible as he is in the ESA thread, I just checked the cop thread and think most of you were so conditioned to his bad posting that you overreacted here. I thought he was just giving some perspective as to why the cop was being extra ridiculous in this case. But whatever, not gonna about this containment lol.

I read the first part of the interaction and saw some metaphorical 100MPH chase because all cops are one cop or something.

While I agree with all of this, he is undeniably guilty of five counts of felonious "Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk" usage in that thread. That alone easily warrants a tempban.

The problem in that thread is his over-posting binges. When he enters the thread, he makes 5 of the next 9 posts. He sits out a few posts, and then makes 4 of the next 6 posts. Chop managed to present golfnutt's position in a single post. This is why he deserves to be contained.

There have been multiple times where you don't know what the hell he is actually arguing for or against, because he's all over the place.

To be honest though, he's almost certainly a net positive here - we should probably keep above-average IQs around 2.2

And that's the price you pay for consistently ****ty posting. Containment 100% deserved.

I have no experience with him in that thread nor have I read it. Couldn't understand what he was saying but eventually decided he was doing that "Former DJ/Allan C. Lawhorn" insufferable routine of super-over-describing the obvious as if it's some sort of breakthrough analysis while simultaneously taking huge leaps of faith on bad guesses like, "That cop is a really nice courteous guy, usually. He's only doing that here because THE MAN is forcing him to."

Not as bad as FDJ, though, and forgiveable imo. The whole thing is a remarkable magnet to conspiracy-tarding; Giant cop conspiracy to drug/booze test a CDL licensed rig driver who got straight run-into to a 100 mph maniac crossing into traffic in the middle of the day on the prayer that he's high?
