The issue with that situation is that it is not worth having to put up with the terribleness for the moments of normal.

The whole idea of containment is to be introspective and improve oneself as a poster. Then when you are ready to go back out there you'll be a solid contributor.

This is a silly online forum and should be taken light heartedly, but reflecting on my reaction last night I can see the same reaction irl when I feel something is being done unjustly. From yesterday's discussion, I can see how I just jumped to conclusions and felt that El D was just trying not to include me instead of looking at the facts or just not caring at all because it shouldn't have been a big deal.
The same when Larry came in. I immediately thought he was just picking on me, which I'm still not convinced he wasn't, but I see how my reaction could have been different to get my point across.

Fwiw I think it's pretty clear that El D is right here. Of course someone can repost an occasional post with pics of steak/pie making, without there being an issue. That's not at all what the point of containment (to stop the contained poster from making every thread about herself, and to stop the innocent from being exposed to the contained's usual awful posting, etc) is, and goes well beyond what is reasonable.

While driving on a rough road yesterday, I heard a clunk and it felt like my front tire blew out. I then realized I had lost steering control of my front driver side and the car pulled to the left hard. My initial reaction was that a tie rod broke, but when I got home to look I saw that the strut had shared and the center rod was missing.
Has anyone ever seen it break like this before?
