Fair enough, but I think you may still be sore about the pharmacy thread...
How's this? Let me tell you a story about my
insane brother-in-law that keeps my wife and I in facepalm.jpg territory far too often.
Dude's air conditioner goes out at the end of July last year. He decides, for whatever insane reason that only his mind can comprehend, that he does not want someone to come over and fix it (he's got a good job but lives like a college student scraping by); he'll "sweat it out" and "save a ****ton of money in the process" and he's got some "sick discipline", or w/e. The more we plead with him about how dangerous this is, the more obstinate he becomes about not fixing it, sigh...
So he lives in 100+ degree temp
inside the house (when I came over with my wife to troubleshoot and try to talk some sense, I couldn't stand it for more than 2 minutes) for at least 6 weeks. We send a HVAC guy over there to check it out and he refuses to let him enter either the house, or the backyard to look at the unit... insane ****ing ass****.
My wife pleads for him to come over during a super hot day, and his dumbass tells us that his electric bill was less than $30 and he gloats to us "suckers" paying $150+ to keep our houses cool. I literally want to punch him (and I'm a nonviolent person) while sitting in our cool home. A month later, he's disorientated, has chest pains, massive muscle cramps and the paramedics admit him to the ER.
It turns out that due to his excessive sweating 24/7, that his potassium level became critically low (as in he had death looking at him in the mirror, critically low). My wife is freaking, and then he's strung up on potassium IV's, which apparently cause great burning pain, and he ultimately paid thousands of dollars in medical expenses.
When he got out of the hospital and finally got his air fixed in October or November, it cost $80, lol. I'm like, you dumb ****, have some consideration for your family; at least stay in a hotel, but I think it's possible that he's just too stupid/crazy to know this kind of stuff could happen from heat exhaustion.
That is one but of many, many lol stories. I can tell you about how and why he re-roofed his entire house all by himself, continually refusing help (and expert help), but that will likely have to wait until I get back. Holy Christ this guy...
