Mly do you have your kid stay quiet at a funeral by tapping 3 orange tic tacs into her little grubby sweaty kid palm and putting your finger to your lips?

C'mon, guys! Let H&F handle the nuances of proper parenting.

Spoiler:
They won't do it any better, but at least OOT won't waste any time on a hopeless pursuit.

Yeah, kids definitely should feel bad at times. Having no negative emotions is going to really backfire later on in life since the world does not operate like that.

After about a month of doing this you're gonna wonder how you ever lived the other way. So much less chaos and stress when everyone is well-rested and there are no frantic searches for things in the morning.

More than just being strict, bedtime routine is a great way for them to start to unwind.

Does the sister you're moving in with have kids? What is their routine like?

To be fair any job you get could be called a "gravy" job. Other potential names: "Jelly job". "Sweaty job". "Smelly job". "Unfit mother job."

My sister raised 4 kids that are all now grown. Her 18 yr old son still lives at home. She is really really organized and living with her will help me out a lot. She's gonna be telling me when to cook and that I need to get laundry done. She's gonna be bossing me around a lot , but it will be good to help me get into a better routine. She might get on my nerves a bit though. She came and did my dishes the other day, but said "I don't know why you keep running off to Dallas when you know your kitchen needed to be cleaned". She will constantly be hassling me about going to see code3. She doesn't like him a lot right now, but they are very similar in regards to acts of service. He will come mow for her a few times and she'll start to like him.

You eventually start to dislike/ignore everyone who tells you to stop seeing Code, this will be no different. She will not start liking Code.

What is this stupid obsession with mowing the lawn? You can hire someone to do that for $10/week

You mention your sister coming to clean up your house so often. I'd be horribly embarrassed if my family thought I needed constant cleaning up after. Maybe she has a point about running off to Dallas constantly while your house is so filthy that you're being evicted over it. Not surprising at all that you see it as "bossy" though when someone tries to give you good advice and help you get your life together.

Lol, I'm nuts about this one too. House must be in perfect order before leaving.

Will she mind your setting up...i think you called it a "dump station"...i call it the "command centre" for shoes, bags, school papers, etc.?

She doesn't like him because he treats you like a **** toy and you're constantly ditching your daughter with her deadbeat, shoe stealing dad every weekend to go to him and leave a filthy house behind.

If I had an older sibling who took it upon themself to come into my house and clean it because it's too dirty.... That would lead to a serious reevaluation of my life.
