Meh I was wrong, it was three days rather than the same day.

I had to go through a very painful containment. I had to follow strict measures to earn posting privileges. I think it was two months. I had a soft release for a probationary period of time once and failed miserably. Re-contained.

There were consequences. The OOT mods put my name in the subject as well in a not nice fashion. Everyone got to see it. I would post in the sports threads for example and would get snickering comments. “Golfnutt has arrived. This thread is over now”. Lovely.

You got to earn your way back. It is for your own benefit. A privilege. A group that is willing to take you under their wing and teach you about social media. I was terrible at it. Obviously. You got to be a major failure beyond belief to end up being contained on a discussion board that is part of a poker forum but where poker talk is strictly forbidden.

I rearranged my thinking. I followed their instructions to a tea. I went onto Reddit and started doing memes. I am became very proficient. I become a mod there of a forum.

ha ha. I was just talking to someone about that episode yesterday.

Some might say that it's the art of fighting, without fighting.

Crickets are interesting creatures. At night, they won't shut up, and are annoying as hell. But that makes them easy to find. They don't survive long in my house.

I think I may have learned a bit of lesson from those few unfortunate crickets.

Meanwhile, more meat:

As far as crickets go, I used to live in eastern Canada and moved to the West Coast. The summer nights in Ontario were filled with crickets sounds. We used to catch them as kids ya da ya da. Interesting looking creatures!

After I moved to the West Coast nothing on those long summers nights. Not a sound. I never missed it until I heard one about 5 years ago in my yard . Now they are here. Not a lot, but you do get to hear them in the night, which I like.
