Anyone who declares favorite or best rapper is a noob at best. Rappers can either be listed in a top 5 or in tiers with a tier having up to 10 rappers/groups.

Why? Rap is simply too large a genre with too many regional biases that it requires a larger scope in rankings.

There are kids on the east coast who never heard Mac Dre simply because he died too long ago. There are kids in Vallejo who worship E-40 and have never heard an Outkast song that wasn’t top 5 on their YouTube search. Or never heard Ludacris free style or never heard T.I.’s The King/Urban Legend Or 3-6 Mafia or wi-tang or ***** illmatic.

I mean we could talk hip hop/rap all day and not even get to A Tribe Called Quest?!?! Never get to a Method Man/Redman album or Trick Daddy. We could talk hip hop/rap all day and barely get to New Orleans or Houston. Hell we could talk it and not touch on Nelly and the St Lunitics, G-Unit/The Game or Bone Thugs N Harmony... it’s a deep and complex genre

You could also just make a list of solo artist and a list of groups...
