In the case that there is a past or future choice, then you take a clue from the tense. In the case where both choices are in the future, the rule holds.

What did you do this Monday?= yesterday. What are you going to do this Monday?=6 days from now=What are you going to do next Monday? =! What are you doing in 11 days?=What are you doing a week from Monday?=! What are you doing in 6 days?

The answer is to all of these questions is the same "Asking my new potential employer if they provide the poison testing kits or I have to bring my own".

It's a tarp. It was part of your interview. Ya know, it seems like they're being somewhat vague in scheduling another interview, but they're actually wanting to see if you pay attention to details and double-check on things, rather than be like, "Yea brah, Tues tots fine, c u then."

Yeah, but the person on the other end might be another MLY and think to herself, "Hmmm, she probably meant to type the 19th because I specified next Tuesday" and not correct the date if wrong.

Why does MLYL fear asking for clarification?

That's the type of uncertainty that leads to chaos and confusion, that clogs the freeways with commuters that have no business being on the road, causing major arterials to become more dangerous.

So basically, her bizarre reticence to actually know when she's expected at a destination is a stupid, unnecessary inconvenience on the rest of us.
