Once again I completely agree with Rexx. I don't think that preki is especially bad, only slightly missing few things in social interaction here. But I am for sure missing a lot more.

Trolling requires no reason. It just happens. You can decide if it is mean trolling and then either flame back or put people on ignore or leave. Or it is just light spirited trolling that doesn't really hurt and then you can play along and try to troll in the same spirit back.

A good indication is if you have a feeling that everyone is against you, then it is pretty sure that you are doing something wrong.

And I was many many many times wrong here. I have started extremely boring threads. I tend to write too long. And I am not funny. But somehow ...I have to say that for my autistic nature it is a good environment to learn few finer points of social interaction.

Why do the remarks of 27 upset you so much? He is a mod, but he is human and this sentence from him is in a pretty standard OOT spirit.

Like I said, I don't think that you are especially bad poster. And you liking cats causes immediate sympathy.

But one thing that I noticed here, that I would have done differently, is escalating the whole thing into some higher instance. It closes the doors, moves the whole thing onto a level from which it is difficult to pedal back. You are basically declaring a bigger conflict and at the same time say that you can't deal with it on your own.

I mean...... I think 27 is pretty OK and a solid mod. But I realize that you kinda have a feeling that he is almost hunting you. Instead of complaining upwards I would so reverse it. He writes enough trollable stuff.

I hope that you cooled down and manage to navigate this into calmer and more fun for everyone waters

It seems to be a politics poster thing that you can never just walk away and be 'yeah whatever'. Someone is wrong and the last word must be had.

One of the reasons I don't post in politics any more. Apart from it being a poorly modded toxic cesspool full of morons with waaaay too much time on their hands, of course.

LOL I love politics forum cuz I can just lob a grenade in there, walk away and they lose their ****. They are the most reactive bunch of posters ever, they have the impulse control of teenagers and it's tons of fun.

Now you're just putting words in my mouth. You asked for examples of bad posts. I gave you an example of a bad post, the chili hot take, which again really has nothing to do with your horrid take on cumin, but more your delivery. And then I gave you an example of a horrible, horrible thread you started that sucked ass.

So don't fool yourself into thinking this is about two posts. Think of it as putting your entire body of work in front of me and throwing two darts at it and those are the bad posts I hit.

How about we try a similar exercise to the one you have been incessantly prattling on about: Please look through your posting history and show us examples of good posts. Ready...go!

I think preki has also gotten subconscious help because his name/avatar combo is similar to prana and prana is a very good poster.

But your posting in the containment thread certainly merits you staying here.

27 is a petty, small-minded, pretty dumb person and the only thing he has to live for in life is being a mod of OTT. So when you challenge his authority right after he’s broken and extra angry because his wife made him scrub his kid’s puke off the floor and then yelled at him for being so slow and made him sleep on the couch for the 482nd night in a row, he’s going to react in an unhinged, irrational way and take it out on an innocent poster like you.

Instead of challenging 27 in a situation in which you are outgunned by his mod powers, ignore his unjust deeds and start making some great posts in this thread and rally the OTT mob in your favor. Even the most power hungry pathetic mod like 27 cannot hold back the will of the people.

What kind of posts? Have an idea for an interesting topic for discussion? Post it here. Have a good response to something posted in an OTT thread? Post the response here.

Do that instead of all this bickering about 27 and you’ll have a chance to gain reinstatement as a full member once again.

He was very obviously very upset. I would always cut upset people some slack.
And if he would be really bad you would have noticed it also before the last night in other threads.

It's been very noticeable for a long time. This is the guy who five months ago was so bad that containing him to this thread was far too good, and getting him out of OOT was the easy choice.

Maybe he's become slightly better since then, but I'm going to remain skeptical.

It's true though that some posters fly under the radar more easily. I noticed preki pretty early on because of his legendary politics posting, and if I wasn't lurking that forum I might not have spotted him so easily.

Being that upset over very little is a violation, not a defense.

I skip a lot more threads than I read. I was simply unaware of him before last night.

This is the best reason to put people on ignore. Posts are easy to skip over, but unsolicited whiny PMs are woat and ignore prevents them.

Except what SirH is describing is like entering NASA, lobbing a "The earth is flat" grenade in there, and then walking away and gloating because they're all talking about how stupid he is since they're so reactive.
