This happens at the WSOP as well, at least in Megas. When you're going from $575 to $5k or $10k, and there's no greater payout available to the big stacks, a lot of people are incentivized to chop/pay the bubble. Even if the big stacks won't, because they all want the full payout, you can still chop/pay the bubble just among the small/medium stacks. The Mega TD will usually pause the tournament to allow a reasonable amount of time for negotiation, although they won't facilitate the deal themselves like they will at Commerce and other places.

Doesn't ME give bubble a free entry into next year's event?

Back in the glory daze the most common method of improvement was to have a friend watch you play using Teamviewer, and give commentary on all meaningful hands. (Ideally after the match.) There was a faction of mediocre players that preferred to not do sweat sessions due to fear of embarassement or getting frustrated.

Me saying "lol" and "that was a donk call" after a hand is not coaching, but whatever, believe what you want.

This is such a typical magic show discussion.

I’m not accusing you of cheating or anything, it was a small amount of money and when i accepted the bet i 100% knew you’d be in the room with her.

But yea she sees one sentence of my post, spazzes out about it, and ignores the rest, which was mostly giving her props for her play.

I think with her style she could be a fairly decent HU player with a lot of coaching. I think she’s destined to always be bad at full ring and tournament play.

I disagree. I made like 5 comments like that during their whole match. And the last one in that paragraph was the one with the quads. Making comments about the last hand of the matchup after the whole thing is over is not "coaching during the match".

Well ok you’re just wrong. Another poker player simply being in the room of a HU match for significant money wouldve been a big scandal back in the day. And again we’re taking your word at face value.

It isn’t totally above board. I know you know this and are aware of it - but like i said i knew what i was getting into.

And i cant remember specific hands but i remember distinctly thinking at several points that i was playing an entirely different person, she’d shift gears so fast out of nowhere in a way that didnt make sense to the flow of the match, and i guess that could be a lack of skill on her part or rustiness on my reads on my end, but it was a distinct pervasive feeling i had that popped up a few times and i remember mentioning it on the stream.

I agree jmakin. Of course I would be in the room watching and loling along with everyone else, and making a few sarcastic comments.

People knocked my play in those games and i’m defintely rusty but i used to be a fairly decent heads up player, i went 12-0 in the OOT tourney. Im not some clueless donkey although my skills arent what they once were.
