I think the key reason for our conflict is that my sense of humor operates in an unconventional way.

As far as I understand, most humans have a lot of social scripts that they follow automatically after learning them in childhood or, at latest, youth. They only laugh when a story is 'surprising', as in, it doesn't fit within the scripts. However, their brains subconsciously try to explain the story, and soon enough they find an explanation in terms of the existing patterns and stop laughing.

Meanwhile, I deconstruct social patterns a lot, and once I find an inconsistency in one, I keep laughing at it when I'm in the mood or sulking at it when I'm not in the mood, as most social constructs are tragicomic.

Perhaps the most tragicomic script is the wedding, which is the climax of the process of human mate selection that is absurd because it's hardly optimized for offspring quality (which, in the modern times, is a function of complementary parenting skills and financial wellness, rather than physical attractiveness).

The poker expression 'to get married to a hand' exists for a good reason.

Therefore, I tend to write many sentences in a row about a topic that I find hilarious because it becomes even more hilarious as I go deeper in the deconstruction.

Periods are indeed one of the most tragic parts of women's existence Idk how I'd handle them if I had them.

Idk which of the methods of suppression of the period itself (as opposed to just wearing tampons or pads) has the least side effects. I guess that continuous intake of oral contraception pills is fine enough. And it's definitely cheaper than oophorectomy (after all the planned children are born) with subsequent lifetime HRT.

I think eugenics is demonized too much. Of course, I'm against taking any of the existing lives. However, I support libertarian eugenics.

Also, I'd rather prospective parents be warned better about the potential dangers of having a child whom they can't realistically raise well. There are people like me whose happiness would be reduced by reproduction, and they shouldn't be pressured into having a child just because it's common. Reproduction is a 19-year commitment that's not mandatory and not the only way to serve the humanity.

Actually, after being reminded about Epicureanism, I've put Michel Onfray's 'Hedonist Manifesto' on my to-read list. Judging by a series of blog articles with the analysis of this work (incl. the discussion of new eugenics), I guess I'll then subscribe to all or almost all of Onfray's views.

I should go play some poker for sustenance right now I'm experiencing a 'grinder's block', would gladly play a lot if it weren't so nauseous (still, online poker is by far less nauseous than any other lucrative activity).

If I play too bad, I'll sell my tiny property (my grannies' courtesy ) and invest massively into poker coaches and software. The only problem is that when I get a serious medical condition, it will be gg for me because the healthcare is freemium.

Maybe I'm more oblivious than most of you, but it was only today that I learned about the distinction between somatic and cerebral narcissists.

According to my suspicions, never confirmed by an official diagnosis in either case, my paternal grandpa and maternal granny were somatic narcissists, and so is my brother's wife, whereas both my parents and myself were/are of the cerebral type.

Actually, I'm already dysphoric to the extent of suicidal ideations (the description struck me with its 100% accuracy) - fun times And the condition is rather resistant to treatment, so the best bet for me is to adopt a truncated lifestyle without close relationships to at least enjoy the things that I can still appreciate, without hurting other humans.

I disagree and am in fact always interested to hear boring details. And love to share boring details about me. May be the trick is that until you have shared It, it is not boring but big and terribly meaningful to you. After, when you notice that no one really cares, issues lose meaning also for you. And that is pretty calming and normalizing and feels good.
