With the universe expanding, all of the galaxies will eventually appear the same from any point in space and thus the universe is becoming the opposite of entropic.

In the context that Howard used it, replying to the "everything is dying" comment, you can assume that he believes that the universe will eventually burn up ie the universe is a finite/closed system and the 2nd law of thermo applies to the entire universe. I'm not sold on this, but maybe Micro Chaos=Macro Order. Ultimately complete entropy results in the rebirth of the universe and isn't "death", but new life and the universe at zero entropy.
Ultimate Chaos=Ultimate Order
We aren't moving to a more chaotic state, but towards a perfect state.

Is it in dispute that entropy in the universe necessarily increases? My rudimentary understanding of this is that at the Big Bang, the universe was in a a much more compact and ordered state than it is now. Matter is cooling and spreading out and will eventually reach something approaching equilibrium. Isn’t that a state of much higher entropy than now?

It is physically painful to me that an old real lawyer is able to present a sensible physical view of things in coherent sentences that make sense, and a young professional engineer presents something that is not just somehow wrong or does not correspond to the current scientific view of things, but is just a complete nonsense. I don't want to be thrown in the same pot like MLYLT! Not every woman in sciences is so clueless!

I think there is just a language barrier here.

The first portion IS the current scientific view. The second portion was theorizing of what the universe becoming total entropy would actually mean and kinda a play on how the big bang occured.
Instead of critizing me, why don't you share your thoughts on entropy in regards to the universe?
