I guess this chick has a rough life considering she just got her period on 2/1, and also was on her period on 1/11. It was unclear if her 1/11" one day a month she doesn't feel sexual " was the first, last, or some other day related to her period, but something about the math here sounds pretty screwed up.

well yeah. i've done fairly well w/ coffee or tea, cuz i snuggle up at starbucks.

going for drinks is pretty safe too. if it sucks, she can leave the bar/pub. so the principle still apply. don't do anything that can't end within 20 minutes the first time around if they're nervous.

I honestly do fine with coffee dates. It's cheaper, and doesn't involve having 2-3 drinks on days where I really don't need to be drinking.

edit: not to mention, most girls I want to be with are easy enough to talk to without booze

Dude, I get it. I also understand it's difficult to convey IRL experiences through this medium. I've never made any serious effort to try to **** her. Additionally, she knows the money ain't flowing no 'mo. I could be waaaaay off but I think she and I are at a comfort level where I could ask her to blow me and she might do it. We're obv friends for life, the question is whether there is more. I don't think so, she's too ****ed up at the moment.

Legally 6 months, emotionally a couple of years. We've been separated since August of 2012.

It makes more sense to me now. I actually sympathize with you a bit. (I can't believe I typed that).

I struggle with a lack of companionship and I have to remind myself not to be a needy bitch. Mainly because it's a huge turn off to women.

It's really difficult to go from full time companion to basically none at all.

You will do a lot better for yourself if you realize that your behavior is desperate and pathetic, and not some means to an end.

You're both using each other and being needy, but they are out doing what they want, and when they need a little pick me up, they interact with you. You on the other hand have delusions of them blowing you if you wanted it.

I signed up to POF about 3 weeks ago. I think my message response rate is around ~33%+ but I'm being pretty selective about who I message and am always taking the time to write out a crafted message instead of a copy paste job.

But I'm having a terrible time after getting a response to my initial message to converting it into a date .... I usually ask after 3 messages, occasionally 2.

Wondering if this is too aggressive and I should back and forth more or ask to text offline first? FYI I'm 33 and am targeting career women in the 25-33 age range.

I think it's way too soon. I signed up for Match, get about a 80% response rate and any I'm interested in I usually have about 12-20 messages before I ask to meet, just finding out about them a little more. 100% take up once I ask them out. I'm 39 and the women I ask out are attractive, so it's not like they're going to just jump at a offer of a date. I'm not saying 12-20 is the correct amount, I'd say defo at least 7-8 imo.

Maybe it is different, but the consensus here for OKC has been that you should be asking after 3 or 4 messages.

By the way wannabealive, how many woman stop responding at some point before 10 messages? Are you losing some along the way or are you really getting a date from over 50 percent of the women you initially write (or at least the once you choose to ask out). If that's the case, you are the one who gets to do all the deciding so writing more messages to weed them out is actually the right play to not waste your own time.
