Worst thing about POF has to be not telling me when I last messaged a girl. People change their pics and I don't remember who I messaged. I'm sure there are some girls who have gotten double messaged without me knowing it.

Guys don't waste your time with milfhoeswholovenerds.com etc. they are total BS. I've been to a few and they usually have decent milf ass but they are pretty selective about age, meaning they treat it like OKC for old people, not necessarily a place to score young guys.
which, sucks

I was on the verge of messaging her cuz she's actually one of the best looking chicks I've seen on there so far, but I figured the odds of penis removal are a little too high for my blood...

That kind of excitement may be just what you need.

Critiques appreciated.

Also, if you wanna hit me up with that red dot swagger, feel free to message away.

What is there to judge? Your profile is almost blank except for your list of favorite movies, music, etc., and your only photo of you is the one headshot.

Edit: One thing I would recommend is that there's no reason to list your income if you are a full-time student. Also don't say Drugs "Sometimes" unless you really only want to date girls who use a lot of drugs.

As far as your pics go: 2,1

You got more comments than I did. :/

Shift some stuff from movies/books to self-summary. More than one pic...

By mentioning your love of Harry Potter and LOTR you're limiting who will correspond with you. Not saying to never mention it IRL, but maybe not so flat out... unless of course you want to limit yourself to other nerds.

Didn't notice the salary and drugs thing, but yeah... I'd leave out salary and definitely wouldn't put drugs unless you're looking for that.

I kind of have a dearth of photos that make me look good. Even when I do interesting things, I don't often get photographed doing them.

Just looked at your profile:
- I would definitely make your second photo your main photo
- You talk about being funny in the "really good at" section, but your profile doesn't reflect this. Especially the self-summary is way too earnest.
- Too much jargon in "what I'm doing with my life"

You look a lil bit like Paul Rudd. That photo also makes you look extremely skinny. Not sure if that's actually the case

Definitely is the case. See "Are you good looking" thread and subsequent workout log for details.

People actually list their income on these sites? Would it come off as a red flag if I didn't? I don't want to scare off potential dates thinking I'm broke, but I also don't want to deal with golddiggers or anyone who thinks income is something they need to know prior to a first date.

I don't know if this is good advice or not because I go a little crazy on my profile, but I'll give it a shot.

You might want to elaborate more on your hair. You could also go with the line one of the posters said earlier about you looking like a mix between Will Smith and Screech.

What I'm doing with my life - if you're in school, specify you're major. Atleast add a couple more sentences to your one sentence answers.

The "I'm really good at" section is opening to show your humor. I put a lot of domestic stuff in mine like making sandwiches and keeping a clean toilet.

Half of your favorites could probably be moved somewhere else. It's very tl;dr.

A picture with you and your dog is much better than one with only your dog.

Try using some humor in "I spend a lot of time thinking about" too

Details Section: leave you income and drugs blank. you might want to leave other things blank too so it doesn't draw attention to the drugs. if you're a social drinker, put occasionally rather than rarely

Thanks for the advice, yaw'll. Used some of it. Is it an improvement? I'll get a pic of me playing with my dog tomorrow.

Also, online dating is probably about equally as exhausting as live...

wutang, I feel your fear, but wtf...

http://www.okcupid.com/profile/IcyHotMonkey

I tried online dating a few years ago. Got stood up twice, got one first date and gave up on it. Deactivated the account. Why not give it another shot. New year and all.

Coincidentally I haven't changed much as gatorade, cold cuts and beer are about half the contents of my fridge right now.

I should probably start a new profile not to link 2+2 to the SN... would hate to see a "a lot of you know myself and IcyHotMonkey" thread. Realistic fear? Do people search SN's?

I think your profile is pretty good! It's very funny without being overbearing...great screen name, though most girls won't understand.

You definitely need better pictures though, especially if you recently lost weight. It annoys me when people's profile pic includes more than one person, and a very small % of girls will know who the other guy in your photo is.

You look like Rich Sommer in the first pic BTW.

Yikes, obviously I have to look like the only uggo, creepy guy on Mad Men

I do state who I'm with in both captions for what it's worth

I actually get 2-4 cold messages a week on my screenname, albeit not much substance and not girls I'm particularly attracted to.
