We talked about this a few days ago, the whole texting thing. From my experience, if you can get into a long texting back and forth, before the first date even occurs, the familiarity will help the date go smoother and escalation will typically happen on that first date faster. So yes text your heart out.

Do you guy's have a specific type when you set up these dates? I made plans this week with 5 girls that couldn't be more different. A former athleticly built soccer player. A persian high maintenance princess. A freaky young white trash girl. A 5'11'' thin cute white former college bballer. I might be trying to fulfill porn fantasies, rather than my LTR intentions.

So you make a point of doing something you know makes the women you go out with uncomfortable. Fantastic.

EM2,

That was pretty much flawless.

For the shallow RI dj, send "your skinny ass may fit into a Steve Aoki video, but can it hold up in a Jay-Z masterpiece."

Bull****. She's just looking for someone who can challenge her.

Asking if they have any funny stories from online dating (or just say first dates in general) can initiate some fun conversation and break the ice. Asking your date how long they've been online dating...awkward

Btw, I handed out a couple quick compliments to her and she reciprocated both. Thanks to ATF for the reminder. I'm bad at this stuff.
She's coming to my place on Wednesday for #3. And #4 is already decided, one of us is cooking dinner. Got this text tonight:

So, this could be a really dumb question, but why/how are you single?
I wasn't sure if it's a "how are you single when you're so awesome?" or if it was some kind of **** test. I assume it was the omg you're awesome version. Tough to tell any context via text and it was out of left field, but just guessing with the FB add+multiple dates in the works that+she initiates constantly that she wants me around for the foreseeable future.

Thoughts OOT?

Well why are you single? This is the "how did you treat or what do you think of your ex girlfriends dig."

gabby if you come up with an opener I'll say it but I'm betting 5:1 it never gets past one reply from her.

I already came up with an open above^^^. She will reply but you're going to have to keep up with her musically because that's her thing.

I found her profile entertaining. Nothing about it would make me reluctant to contact her. Not sure why you seem so pessimistic about it.

I rarely try to bang a girl on the first date unless we hang out at a bar and she seems like the type. I feel like you can burn yourself if you try to push too fast. I usually go for a hug on the first date, kiss on the second, and bang fool around on the third to give the illusion that I'm a nice guy.

In my experience the "why are you single?" comes up before meeting in person way more often than after and is usually because she suspects you're not the person pictured and/or not actually single. In the world of online dating if it looks too good to be true it really usually is.

If you get asked that after a couple dates it means she likes you but is still cautious and assuming there's something horribly wrong with you that she hasn't discovered yet, because that's what her experience in online dating has taught her to expect

Just say anything other than you just got out of a long relationship. Girls hate being the rebound girl.
