I wouldn't mention the mind reading thing at all. A simple "I am glad you liked my profile. You seem like an interesting gal." is what I recommend.

really? Because i think that would probably kill the conversation dead.

I do think that given the message she sent you, you don't need to be too slick. But I would at least ask her something in your reply. You don't want to give her and easy excuse not to write back.

Sounds like she gave pretty much no effort on her profile. Then minimal effort in her message to you. She didn't mention anything specific about your profile, just that she liked it. Don't try to reel her in yet. She may not like it.

Plus every shmo tries to be overly clever and attentive with a first response. Blech.

So what's you plan for when she predictably does not respond? This line seems terrible to me but maybe I'm missing the next step.

That's why you gotta stick to www.beautifulpeople.com

lol

One of the women trying to do so is Kate, 32, also from L.A. (Full disclosure: we received her name from BeautifulPeople's PR, but she sounded genuinely upset.) Her friends had encouraged her to join the site for some time and she was let through around May 19 or 20, thanks to the Shrek virus. She told HuffPost that her stint as a member "was fun. I made some friends in the forum and got a few nice messages. And suddenly I received an e-mail reading, 'Sorry to inform you, you're not beautiful enough,' with a support number to call."

Personally(not saying it's good) but when a girl gives a conversation-ending response I usually just respond with "oh cool" I don't know the % but definitely a nonzero percent of the time it sparks her to realize how lame she's being and I get a decent reply after that. Plus it's short.

HHH no offense but I think that line would have a 0% success rate on 100% of the girls out there.

I have optimism that HHH's line would have better than 0% success...but not much more than that.

Still, there are plenty of girls who are roughly as clueless at all of this as the OOT'ers asking the questions. They're still at an advantage because they are girls and will get more responses. But still, some are dumb enough to think that is a really good response.

I am not offended. Everybody has opinions and perhaps differences in age have plenty to do with it. I would not care if she responded, since she put no effort into her first contact. If she can read between the lines it would say "try again."

Best response would be "if you like my profile, you should see how likable my **** is."

That's just how online dating works, the guy is gonna have to do most of the initial legwork if the girl isn't hideous. She's actually putting in more effort than most attractive girls would by even indicating her interest at all. You don't have to spend 30 min. looking thru every detail in her profile and then fine-tuning a message, but a quick scan, maybe a funny comment and definitely ask a question (I usually have at least 1 question in every message so she has a reason to respond).

95% of guys on these sites are complete morons so if you are actually clever and not just cheesy or creepy then you will stand out and your wit will be appreciated.

Btw this will work because she messaged you, she's already interested. So might as well cut to the chase.

Wow. Just, wow.

I would prefer not to divert from the incredibly enlightening conversation currently taking place in this thread, but, the cat's already out of the bag, so, **** it:

I just saw, on the NFL Network, during a nationally televised NFL game, an ad for BlacksMeet.com. All of the incredibly good-looking actors were black, of course. I guess I'm not allowed to apply.

Wtf? Can you imagine the HORROR, and the OUTRAGE, if this was WhitesMeet.com?

Now back to your regular scheduled programming....

I can't remember who did that EXACT BIT, but it wasn't funny then, and isn't not. It was a professional comedian, too.

How often are yall getting messaged first? That is definitely blue moon territory, and I think a lot of it is because I have a pretty decent main pic. Of the girls who do message first I would say 90% are from very unattractive girls, and there is definitely a huge overlap with girls who just say 1-3 words no matter what.

I have hooked up with two different girls who messaged first though so idk.
I get messaged first sometimes. Girl is almost always fat-unattractive. And they STILL simply say "Hi" or "hey". Or, even more, they send the flirt message. An option for women.

It's pretty tilting. I see it as "Hey, I know I'm a fat cow, but I still have a vagina, so I'm still expecting you to do 98% of the work here"

I know, it's just awful. Almost as bad as all the studies that show whites are the most racially discriminatory when it comes to dating as opposed to any other ethnic group, and it's not even close to be close.

No ****ing license yet, so not much going on. Got something planned with one chick from POF, who I actually first spoke to months ago and we've kept in touch since then. She drives, lives about 20 minutes again, and we plan to hang out over the weekend.

Are there dating sites for fat and not fat fat people?

Is the temp-banhammer and the complete deletion of the post really necessary for someone with a clean record who forgot he wasn't typing on work email and therefore didn't need to self censor?

What I said before it disappeared was this thread needs to divide into two. The strategies are way different for looking for a relationship and trying to **** as many women as possible. I'm sure this PUA stuff works on a certain type of woman, but if you want to find someone you're compatible with just be yourself. That's assuming you are someone with a sense of humour and fun.

Again. The strategies to get the girl are exactly the same. What most of you fail to realize is that in order to get the girl of your dreams you must be capable of getting other girls like her.

Let's say you luckbox a 9. You feel really ****ing good about yourself, your friends think you're cool everything's perfect. Sooner or later you'll realize deep inside that you got lucky, that you don't deserve her,you don't feel entitled. You become needy, youre afraid of losing her because you can't get another girl of the same caliber. She can sense that, she's no longer attracted to you. She dumps you. You wonder what happend while youre crying yourself to sleep jerking off using your own tears as lube.

That's why lottery winners go broke all the time. They didn't work for it.

EDIT: if Warren Buffett goes broke how long will it take him to get rich again? Not long. He already knows how to do it.

Same with a player. He knows how to get 9s. He will be sad for a while ****ing 6&7s just to forget about her because she was special, but then he gets back on his A game.

So there's this girl at work who used to waitress, now she works in a stand. She's cute, and was always giving me the eye. I plan to approach her and chat her up. My plan is to ask why she doesn't work as a waitress anymore and take it from there.
