hey guys next month i might get into the tinder/okcupid grind and try this **** out. I ll try to document as much as possible, not for the regulars but more for the lurkers who want to learn(not form me but from my bad or good experiences or TRs) or get tips or are unsure of themselves, im extremely short, eccentric and while you might call me weird at first once you get to know me you ll say "thast just jetto" and likeable.

Yeah of course I do! Never ever wished I was taller either or any of that stuff, I’m not depressed or sad or anything lol. To answer your question I like how eccentric I am and like how I look, but that’s just me. Maybe others and potentially girls will think I’m weird, too out there or short or whatever. That’s where nothing sexy about me comes from even though I shouldn’t care too much what people think(although I may need to mend or fix some things)

I wish you luck. Might I suggest having some drinks before/during your dates to loosen up? Sounds like you really overthink all of these situations. Cast your line, make your move and if the fish doesn’t bite move spots and cast out again. The fish have to eat sometime and hopefully you’ll be there when they’re hungry and short of being a complete idiot you’ll get bit.

I would suggest just talking to people in everyday situations.

If you can't get out of your comfort zone in front of strangers that you don't care to meet, how you going to get better approaching those you do want to meet?

Be careful how much you drink before a date though. I'd feel like it was a red flag if someone turned up to a date already clearly under the influence. Also using drinking as a crutch in social settings is not really helping you long term and could lead to a dependence on alcohol.

Also uses the more generic "a dating app" instead of saying Tinder or whatever she would have been using if it were real.

I think Baltimore said he texts something funny about flaking or something on the day of the date to gauge interest but I think others disagreed that was a good strategy. Another guy suggested you change the time by 15-20 minutes on the day just as an excuse to confirm it's still happening but being more subtle about it.

"Hey Jo, just checking we're still on for this evening?"

I have had some variant of this text on my last 10 dates either day of or day before. It's no biggie and seems pretty standard these days.
