Yeahhhh. But what you (I) find attractive can strongly deviate from media suggested images. I totally did fall in my life few times for guys very out of shape who didn't exercise since high school. And from my experience with male attention it doesn't change a lot if I vary my weight +- 10 lbs. So you are right but it is not so that you have to be like 11 on the scale of 10 with your looks to be attractive.

I would say mental stuff is huge. And funny enough it is very very difficult to impossible to pretend to be normal when in reality you are highly neurotic.

I can fake it for about a year and a half, maybe longer

I've been pretending to be a normal for 35 years now. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

She acknowledged she’s crazy and that that def impacts her social life and that’s a huge step for M vs just blaming the guys for any issues or saying guys only care about looks and sex.

I would say M being reasonable about what her issues are and how they negatively impact her life is progress enough for me, I’m saying “good for you, Girl, keep working on it!” And moving on.

However, this doesn’t make what you said any less valid, just making clear what my viewpoint on the specific exchange was Online dating thread

so I just messaged this woman who has the headline, "looking for a good hearted slut"

I asked, "is your headline a typo."

she replies, "no, but you may be."

me: "may be what?"

her: "a typo"

I have 3 questions about POF:

1. Are male shirtless pics allowed in any way? I've read mixed messages on this. POF says "no nudity" when uploading the pics, which is fair enough. But does that mean no shirtless pics for males? No bikini pics for females? I don't know where the line is drawn.

2. How is someone else able to view your private photos?

3. I've gone on the "Meet Me" section and clicking Yes to some girls, I already got a load of mutual matches. Girls who are way hotter than me are saying they are mutual matches - this makes me think the matching system is either BS/false/a scam. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

1. What typo did you think might have been in her headline? I don't see any possibilities. Or did you jsut say that because you couldn't think of anything clever or interesting to say?

2. At this point you might as well say something like "yeah, I'm the typo guy who doesn't understand fairly obvious sentences. If you don't believe me just ask OOT."

Why did you ask her that?? That's a terrible first message (and a terrible response, though it probably didn't matter much).

Maybe he hates casual sex and wants to avoid getting himself in a situation where it might be possible.

Definitely was a bad opening question, but her headline is unclear. Does she really mean she's looking for a slut? It would be unusual to use that word to refer to a man. Or does she mean she's the slut? In that case maybe there really was a typo and there should be a question mark at the end of her title.

pre,ki is no longer in OOT. Also "slut" can easily refer to dudes, and this whole exploration of the woman's headline and the subsequent discussion is incredibly fussy.

No idea what you mean about preki no no longer being in OOT, but then you did have at least one typo.

Google dictionary:

slut
nounDEROGATORY
1.
a woman who has many casual sexual partners.
synonyms: promiscuous woman, prostitute, whore; More
2.
DATED
a woman with low standards of cleanliness.

Wikipedia:

Slut is generally a term for a woman or girl who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous.[1][2] It is usually used as an insult, sexual slur or offensive term of disparagement (slut-shaming).[2][3] It originally meant "a dirty, slovenly woman",[2] and is rarely used to refer to men, generally requiring clarification by use of the terms male slut or man whore.

The context was ambiguous; I thought everyone agreed with that.

Seems to be more a grammar issue than a typo.

Maybe she was looking for a woman to take her current boyfriend off her hands?

It seems clear to me that the girl's use of a term that is usually used to degrade women in a very different context is meant to be intentionally surprising and provocative. Apparently it also has the benefit of easily weeding out people who don't recognize that.

Even on the 1% chance that it was a mistake, pointing out typos in a girl's profile never makes for an appealing first message.

Guess no one knows the answer. Managed to find out #1 and #2, still confused about #3.
