Glad it isnt just me. I wonder what happened. I got more matches from bumble already than i have on tinder in the last month, and much higher quality.

Bumble was way better when I was briefly in Omaha last Winter. I was actually matching with some cute, interesting ladies. Tinder was completely useless and I would only match with blimps.

Yea same. Tinder used to be like shooting fish in a barrel.

I’m matching with really cute girls but only 1/10 messages so far.

Just got on Bumble... WOW what a difference in quality compared to Tinder

Makes me feel dumb for spending so much time on Tinder with all the fatty moms when this option existed

Don't get too excited...Bumble front loads the most attractive women.

Online dating is dead. I used to mop up just a few years ago and can barely get a tinder match now. I think I do better in person than I did but just can’t get anything online. Online rigged!

Though I got a lot of cute matches in Nashville nowhere else (Chicago, Savannah, LA, San Fran) had anything at all for me. What’s going on? Also Nashville nothing on tinder but bumble was lit

Nice to see you still around wu.

I think ive swallowed the red pill and believe online dating has screwed up real life dating.

But still gonna try.

My dating life is the nut low. Was on the verge of getting married to my four year super start and stop girlfriend after I moved from CA to Georgia and she said she was coming in a few months and then backed out, then she broke up with me. I can’t help but suspect cheating deep down. Gonna see her this weekend in our hometown for the first time since that happened. Haven’t had sex for months.

Gonna get a dog instead and focus on me, but damn I’ve been getting lonely. Also tons of other personal problems ongoing

I feel like dating must be especially tough for the trans community. Unless you find someone who is looking for a transwoman with a penis, having that part is going to be a dealbreaker.

Not trying to come of rude. I'm sympathetic because I think dating is tough enough as it is.
I'm not answering questions about my genitals, but in the spirit of education, no, I don't include that information in my profile. Its much less of a deal breaker than you think it is, though. In fact, it may even work the other way round. There's a reason there is so much trans porn on the internet after all, and AFAIK, there isn't really equivalent interest for post-op trans girls.

Anyway, the problems for me are more IRL than online. When a guy hits on me IRL and doesn't realize I'm trans, things can sometimes get out of control pretty quickly. At least online they know right off the bat.

If it's any consolation, women feel exactly the same.

It's virtually impossible the swipe culture hasn't had an effect.

I think it's a good thing - grass is greener yes, but it can save us from getting stuck in middle-of-the-road relationships or ones formed out of convenience. If there's something there between you both, it's not going to matter when or how you met, you'll both make it work regardless.

For me personally, it's made me far more self-aware of my flaws and reflective of what I need to work on to be happier with my own self.

If this isn't just a summer lull in traffic, it would be interesting to know what's going on.

I wonder if girls just have higher standards now with the choice the online dating culture brings and simply refuse to even bother with online if they can't find what they're looking for relatively quickly? The 'everything now' generation. To a certain extent it's always been like that, but it could be just getting progressively worse, meaning the ratio of guys to girls on the apps gets ever worse, since the guys will just carry on blindly swiping as usual.

I took over a colleague's bumble out of interest, she's like a 6 and she gets a decent amount of matches from 8-level guys. And still complains. A lot of those will be from guys who right swipe everyone, so I see her point, but I get the feeling like if she put as much effort into it as I do, she could find what she's looking for since there are so many more options for girls.

I think you're right, and sketch guys that are 8+ use that to their advantage online to get laid and then move on while the 6 ends up pissed after awhile cause shes used to 8s and wonders why she can't find a good man..

It just snowballs from there into real life

I think online dating, especially with sites like OKCupid before all their changes, was great for meeting compatible people, but now that it's mostly apps it leads to evaluating people just on looks which is not good in the long run.

It's the Golden Age of Bumble now. I mostly missed out on the Tinder golden years, but I imagine things haven't changed THAT much - people are still horny (& you can swipe infinitely/indiscriminately), people still want to be treated respectfully, and everyone still makes plenty of mistakes (honest mistakes, stupid mistakes, etc).

Got a bumble account today. Swiped right about 30x, left about 20x.

I've decided the following phrases in a bio are auto left swipes:

TSA pre-check
dog/cat mom/aunt
whining about past dates/relationships
where's my prince charming?

Serious question tho. I just saw this in a bio and don't know wtf it means. Woman is really hot imo:

Well, its funny and maybe she's more open with her spiritual views and sexuality.

Or likes it rawdog.

In any case, not a definite red flag.

Sounds like a spam profile

Whining about anything is obviously a bad look for men or women
