What's the psychology behind this?
Go on a first date on Wednesday. Girl is very nice and quite pretty but for various reasons did absolutely nothing for me. Date went on for a while (100 minutes?) was pleasant enough and it was clear she liked me but I was glad to get of there. We walk to the train station where I hug her and say I had a nice time. She says she had a nice time too in a much more convincing tone and one that suggests she'd like to see me again. I'm half expecting her to text me on Thursday or Friday but she doesn't.
This morning I wake up to
Quote:
"Thanks so much for the lovely night on Wednesday. I don't think there's anything there romantically but I do think you're an awesome guy. Maybe see you some time at xxx yyyyyy (amateur improv place) "
Haven't got such a message before and thinks it's weird. My theory: she spent the last two days waiting for me to text, when I didn't, to salve her own ego she sent a "It's not you it's me" message. But I'm pretty stumped.
Is there any reason to reply to her message? She's very sweet and I feel a little sorry for her but is "I had fun too, thanks!" better than not replying?
