Yeah, the fact that your cultural references are to shows that were only on paid cable, and haven't been on the air for 6+ years, and you're surprised someone who came here from another country to study 8 years ago, is pretty weird. When Custer is right, he deserves some credit too.

Deciding to explain football during a date instead of like, conspicuously ignoring the football during a date, also sounds weird.

Yeah mansplaining football is not gonna get you points. I was once on a date where a tv was on behind her and football was on, and at one point she said she was so impressed that I wasn't looking behind her the whole time. Def earned some big points

Anyone have advice for 18yo chicks if you are a bit older? I am 8yrs older and found some hot 18yo on pof and decided what the hell, she is hot, it will be a new experience for me, I'll send her a message. She seems a bit materialistic from some of stuff she is writing on her profile and some of her pics are a bit revealing.

After messaging her with some corny lines she immediately responded back. After some playful banter back and fourth she gave me her number when I asked and wants to meet up at some point. A few days have gone by (I've been pretty busy so haven't msg'd her) and I am debating on whether I should do this or not anymore.

I understand what I was like at 18 (I was a totally different person) but I also think she is really cute and she is of legal age. It also crossed my mind that if she ever lied on her profile and is 17 or something, makes me want to check her id or something lol. That is a line I absolutely do not want to cross. Maybe I am overthinking things but part of me considers this situation a lot more unique then a standard online date set up with someone my age as I am venturing into uncharted territory.

Had that happen once - she said she was 19 (I was 23) - met up with her, she revealed she was 17 and still a HS senior. She brought her homework to the date, asked for my help. Her college-aged sister picked her up from the coffee shop, and was not pleased to meet me.

We sometimes worry about women using us for a free dinner, but this is the first example I've heard of where a girl tried to use a date for a free tutor. Awesome.

I've got a date with a girl who's visiting the US from a different country. Matched on tinder and agreed to get drinks tomorrow. She said she doesn't speak English very well. Any tips to make this less awkward. She was using a google translator to help her with the messaging back and forth.

I dont watch any of those shows but id bet way more people have heard of Sopranos than Bobs Burgers

Sopranos has been off the air for 8 years now, though, and was an HBO show, so Bob's Burgers is far more culturally relevant now to most IMO

Sample size of 3, Peruvian girls I've met (not necessarily dated even) were high-energy, really driven, very attractive, and really, really affectionate. Get the hell on that, sir.

2nd date with blonde Rumchata girl

We met at a Mexican place a few blocks from each of us. I picked the bar to sit at because all their tables you have to sit across. We ordered tacos and a pitcher of strawberry margaritas on the rocks.

We went for a walk down to the terrace, though a lot of it was closed due to construction. Walked back towards hers, went to kiss her and we did a couple times but she doesn’t like kissing in public even if there’s only a couple people nearby. I had my arm around her for a lot of the walk, and when we switched to holding hands they fit together really well.

She invited me up, which I wasn’t expecting. For a second she walked towards the door and I just stood there she was like "Want to come up? Don't be shy" Most girls I’ve dated have roommates or lived far so we usually go to mine. I’ve been shamed out of posting details, but we had a fun night. She was easy to please, thinks I’m hilarious, and said I was the perfect size for cuddling. She said she wanted to see my improv show next week, so maybe that + my place after will be the next date.

This made me chuckle. Can't say that's something that has ever crossed my mind when holding hands with a lady.

It's good to see you having some success. Hopefully this one sticks.

Maybe it's just me, but I've done some really awkward hand holding.
