So I see you and I both enjoy working, eating, and cheerleaders. Looking forward to our trip to Rome on a hot air balloon

Haha very clever sir! I like your style...how are you doing today?

How am I doing? Well, let's change that to what I'm doing. I just came back inside to get a drink of water. Bout to head back out in a second to continue inflating the balloon. Go ahead and start packing your bags, you won't need much, flip flops, a hat for the sun, and if you have any cheer leading outfits, make sure to bring those.

Don't worry, I mean, does it really matter if we fall madly in love with each other during our trip, or before our trip? We're splitting hairs here.

her

No falling madly in-love lol

Don't know how to follow that one up.
You won't be able to resist my charm beb. Alright,no hot air baloons although that would be cool as ****. Drinks & thumbwar loser buys icecream. You up for it?

amazin....you seem to be doing fine here; you should just be asking these girl out by the time you reach the number of messages you have posted in the last couple posts. Are you seriously having long message exchanges with girls and then failing to get their number?

I can't remember the last romantic Italian getaway I took that didn't end up in love. I mean, you seem cool and I'm glad we started talking. Hopefully you aren't a serial killer in real life, but if you are, I'm pretty fast, so I'll just run. ;-0

her
12/9/2012 8:42:52 PM
Hahaha I'm not. Serial killer! I promise! I should be asking you if you're the serial killer mr Italian get away!

As it so happens, I AM a serial killer, but don't worry, you're safe. You don't match the criteria of my victims. You do, however, match the criteria of my future wife.

That's what I sent. Got a feeling I'm making a pigs ear of this...

amazin,

I'd avoid falling in love and future wife talk. Maybe go easy on the serial killer jokes too. And like Nick said, just ask for their number earlier. They are chatting you up on an online dating site; they're interested.

What happened next w the mets fan from LI?

Sounds good. Next reply I'm moving in for the kill. And I haven't responded to the Mets fan, didn't know what to say.

Total +1 to El D. I think one super comedic line about love in an opener is okay, but you seriously do kinda sound like you are looking to fall madly in love with this person in the next 30 minutes or something. You can easily scare a girlfriend away with that stuff, none the less someone you've never even met.

I think anyone with sense would know I'm kidding, but yea, point taken.

One thing you can try saying is, "It's so cute how your nose wiggles when you talk!" This is a great line that is sure to wow the ladies.

That's not really the point though. Most girls on those sites are getting messages all the time from guys. Any little thing you say that might come across badly is magnified.

I do feel that you should try something outside the box to get them talking, but once they do I think you can tone down the act a little bit.

I don't troll. I just state the obvious. If the truth offends you, well, that's your problem, not mine.

amazin,

Didn't know what to say? She said you should do something besides msging on dating sites, her name is Dee, and she's from long island!

Suggest something to do, get her number, and tell her your name and where you're from.

omg omg. I told a female on okcupid I play poker on the internets for money. Her response...

"That's pretty awesome that you can make a living out of poker. What's your game? I have some friends who've gotten pretty far with it. I thought that you couldn't make money playing poker in the US anymore? My dad loved pokerstars before the whole internet-gambling-illegal-thing happened (I'm obviously very familiar with the technicalities of it). Now he just checks out the forums (two plus two)."

Amazin, catching up on the thread. Better job on the lighthearted chat. Already was thinking about how you should eliminate the lovey stuff before others mentioned it. Hot air balloon to Rome is funny and already romantic. You don't have to say it is romantic or that you'll fall in love. That ruins it.

Serial killer joke is bad idea too. Be fun and energetic like you are while avoiding those things. Just keep them laughing and stay hot air balloon silly. But try to dial it down so it isn't too hyper and overwhelming....or creepy. Think about real life interactions. You can make jokes about fantasy hot air balloon rides. But making jokes about "we'll fall in love" is obviously out of bounds with the person you're talking to....because it's weird and creepy. And it least its obvious to most people anyway.

You're definitely getting their interest though. Making them laugh is huge. Don't creep them out at the same time. Do one without the other.

You've made big progress since your initial chat performance stuff....and with that you really should be meeting one or two of these in person sometime soon

Ugh....I am so sick of online dating right now. The problem is that online dating makes it so much easier for socially awkward people like me to get first dates, but obviously doesn't really help from that point on. I moved to a new city where I didnt know anyone about 3 months ago, and have had 15-20 first dates since then, mostly through OKC, but a total of 3 second dates.

The really frustrating thing is I had two good relationships come out of my first 4 online dates back in my previous city. I guess I figured it would only get easier...

So what's your goal? Do you want 3 f*** buddies or a girlfriend? I've been going out at least 2 times/week for a year and I still **** up some dates.

About 5 months ago I had 4 dates in a row from Thu to Sunday. Guess what: never saw any of them again.

You have to be polarizing ,they either love you or ****ing hate you.
You don't want to waste your time going on 4 dates with a girl only to find out you were friend zoned.

If your socially awkward go out with your friends more, step out of your comfort zone.

Tell the girl when you first meet her,be like "actually I don't do this a lot I've been raised in Antarctica by the penguins just got here last week" something like that.
This sets the frame that you're being yourself and you will f*** up later but you don't care. You will getaway with a lot.

I wonder if there's any future involved in an online site that verified pictures somehow. Man that would take some of the pain out of online dating. When I used to use it, I always did a 15 pound rule. If I could add 15 pounds to the person and not be attracted to them, then I'd skip the date.

Bad lieu, that's a ludicrous and terrible strategy. And your failure rate to even have the least bit of connection is certainly related to that.
