I wanted to try to make things work after the break up, but not now. She's in school and working nearly full-time and literally has plans every weekend from now until June. My only free time is weekends. It will never work ATM.

went out with a girl from okc last week. she opened to me, asking about a story i allude to in my profile (once had a drink with shane macgowan), and in a couple messages she said she'd rather her the story in person over a drink. so we meet up for a drink at a bar i know and like, but is pretty dimly lit. we sit at a table with just a small candle, so i kind of felt like:



had a couple drinks, at some point she said she was only going to have 2 drinks because she's a lightweight, so i make fun of her a bit, but have a really good conversation. when we leave, i lightly push her making fun of, asking if she was too drunk and needed me to carry her home. and then almost exactly on cue, we turn the corner and stampeding towards us is a huge guy giving an obviously drunk girl a piggyback ride.

so i say, do you want me to give you a piggy back ride? she pauses and says, sure. i was trying to gauge how much she was kidding, so i just said, alright, hop on. then she wasn't sure if i was serious so she was like, well...are you sure? so she hopped on and i carried her a couple blocks. she hopped down and took my arm, so we just walked together to the subway. said goodnight, i felt like i could have kissed her, but have never been sure about a first kiss on the subway.

text her the next day that it was fun and we should get together again, she's into it. we were supposed to go out on wednesday, but she texted me on tuesday that she was really sick, so we pushed it to thursday. thursday she said she was still feeling sick but wanted to hang out, so i suggested we get some soup. she found a ramen place in her neighborhood, so we went there. i get there and apparently its a popular place, about an hour wait. so she gets there, and says we should get a drink while we wait at another bar.

we walk around, find a place, and i ask if she'd been there before, and she said she has. so i suggest we go some place she hasnt been yet, which she likes, so we find another place, have a drink while we wait. eventually get to the ramen, have a great time, and after dinner she suggests we get some ice cream. we walk to an ice cream place, which had just closed. at this point, i had my arm around her while we were walking, and as we were leaving the ice cream place, i just stopped her and kissed her. so we did some street making out while i walked her home. when we got to her apartment, she said 'i wish i was feeling better so we could keep hanging out', so i told her to rest up and wed get to hang out more next time. she was legit sick, so i took that to mean good things.

next day (yesterday), she texts me that she's feeling a lot better, i say it mustve been my doing, she said it must have been so we should see each other again soon so she doesnt relapse.

seeing her again on tuesday.

Okay, Stoner Girl called me back and I have a date with her this evening... kinda excited yet kinda bummed as I was going to get a pedicure with Incense Girl and a different woman that lives in our building. Anyway, I told her I broke my foot doing yoga with my neighbors. Given my condition, I'm angling for wine and a movie at her place but also offered dinner.

I've said this a billion times. Let's see if it actually sticks this time: I'm taking a break from new girls online to save money and time. I'm a little exhausted of meeting new people one on one all the time rather than in a normal socializing context, not to mention broker than can be. Just got the day-of cancel with no plan/hope to reschedule, oh the fun side of online dating:

Had a first date on Wednesday. We met at a pizza joint, then went to another bar and had two beers. I had a lot of fun and we talked about some really interesting things, but I continually have trouble with making it more of a date and less of just two friends hanging out. I'm not sure if I'd like to see her again, since I didn't feel any sexual chemistry, but I just don't know if that's because of how I act or if it's legit not there.

Also just sent a message to another woman asking her out for Tues/Thurs... my week is filling up pretty quickly with dates/normal social events so I have to be a little selective.

the main problem is that the text was just so unnecessary. if you didn't feel like drinking, you could have just said it when you got there, unless it would really change where you went out. however, without being results oriented, i don't think it would be that bad (though judging by her not answering, looks like it ****ed something up in this case).

Here's how much I drank on that last tr, btw. The box had 5 liters of wine in it. I just checked, and there's probably not a full glass left.
