I started this as a thread where 2+2 members could share advice on online dating. I'm 25 years old, and have had trouble finding a GF in person, so I've decided to try the online route.
I admittedly have no game when it comes to girls, as I'm a natural shy person, so I'll mostly be on the receiving end of the knowledge. As I improve, I'll share the wealth. :-)
From poker I've learned how helpful it is to have an advisor to give you advice and encouragement, and sympathize with you when you fail.
For starters, what are the best sites out there for free, and what sites are worth laying the money down for a subscription ? I'm on POF and OKcupid.
I am shocked! SHOCKED to see a poster who does not know how to interact with women in OOT.
I guess I should add a serious note: I don't understand why people think online dating would be any easier than "IRL" dating. You still have to interact with people either way.
1) take pics of yourself doing fun activities
2) write a few jokes in your profile
3) pick a girl
4) send a message specific to something she wrote in her profile. If you can slip a joke in the message all the better. Definitely be confident In your messages. Fun >>>>>>>>serious questions
5) rinse/repeat steps 3 and 4 about a dozen times and you'll get 2 or 3 replies.
6) BE cool in message process, take your time responding, establish a witty banter for about 4 to 5 messages and ask for her number.
7) Don't be a weirdo on the phone call and you'll have yourself a date.
Main things are confidence, keeping things playful, and leading the conversation.
That's the approach I've been using. It's been going OK. When I get home I'll pot some pictures of the chicks I've been chatting with and am gonna make a move on.
sounds like a good way to have someone send her a link to this thread
I thought that, but the odds of someone finding her on POF from a pic posted here have gotta be pretty low. There must be a over a million chicks on there
