As far as texting NEVER EVER say "let's hang out or let's meet up" in your first text. Its creepy. She's thinking he doesn't know anything about me he probably doesn't have standards.

Texting is a continuation of the online convo so your first message could be something you guys were talking about online or something simple as " hey you its badlieutenant " . Here I would use my first name even if I didn't tell her my name online. If she asks who is this you probably f&&& up.

Vibe for a while ,nothing serious just banter. Get logistics and ask her what her schedule is without actually asking her our.
This way if she says she's busy you don't appear needy because you didn't ask her out.

It's important,if you ask her out and she says "no its girls night out" or whatever DO NOT reschedule continue as if nothing happens and ask again 2 days later.

"It's cool beb. My friend is coming over. We're getting drunk and playing battleship". Something like that

And yes its "BEB" not "BABE"

BL, this was your advice earlier in the thread:

Quote:
No girl is going to sleep with you until she knows who you are. If you're thinking of what to say that means you're in your head trying to come up with things to impress her. EXPRESS not impress.

How is she going to know who you are if she cannot experience the real you?

Yes you will say stupid things, yes you will f*** it up but when it finnaly clicks and you get the girls it will be because of YOU,because you're awsome not because some lines or other bull****.
Doesn't matter what you say it how you say it as long as you're congruent with who you are.

If you're shy,be shy.
If you're the weird guy playing video games all week be that guy but own it. "Yes girl I got to level 10 last night really ****ing awsome I killed the boss after only 13.5 hrs of play " say it with a big smile on your f***ing face like genuinely happy you beat that level.
I don't see how someone, unless they truly have a very specific personality, can follow both sets of advice.

If you are constantly trying to think of very specific lines to throw at girls, or worrying about the exact order in which you say things, isn't that exactly "thinking of what to say" and being "in your head trying to come up with things to impress her".?

If your lines and patterns are this exact how can you then claim "Doesn't matter what you say it how you say it as long as you're congruent with who you are."? Especially when it goes so far as to believe you have to misspell "babe" in a certain way.

I can't imagine typing "beb" to a girl. It would be completely "incongruent with who I am" to both deliberately misspell a word like that, and to call a girl "babe" in the first place.

Can bad lieu just go into a PUA thread instead? This is annoying.

What's a good opening message for girls that don't really list anything in their profile? Either really short profile, they just write about what they want you to be like, or some standard crap about how awesome their friends/family/job etc... is?

Normally I write something about some shared interest

Eastern m Idk . I always use canned openers online. No girl is so special that she gets a different message.
If you want to make it more personal find a way to add her name in the message.

"Dear NAME,after a rigorous brief review of your profile it seems you are a possible match. Please send me your social security #,a scan copy of your passport and your resume so I can move further along with the selection process and/or steal your identity".

I guess I just don't feel any motivation to message these girls; they sound likely to be boring and have few shared interests with me anyway. This is also why I've found OKC so much easier to deal with than POF.

Fwiw the guy I know who had the most success with online dating turned it into a factory. He had a spreadsheet, and he'd have his standard lines. He'd cut and paste stuff into the messages to save himself a ton of time. When a girl would reply he could revert to the spreadsheet to check earlier messages to see what he could bring back, to make himself sound attentive. In 30 mins he could do what normally takes several hours to type. That summer we hardly saw him. He almost bankrupted himself with all the dates he went on, but screwed a few a week once the full cycle got going. I couldn't/wouldn't do that, but for those who want to try, I'd love to hear about how it goes.

I don't really understand the point of this.

Obviously he wasn't looking for a relationship, that's cool. But if he's just looking to hookup, why not take the best lays of the first 10-20 he hooked up with and just do that? Seems way cheaper and way less trouble than trying to date 100 women in 100 days.

In his case he was recently divorced. So I think the motivation for his beast mode was fairly evident. Like I said, I wouldn't do it. That said guys that are 6/10 could still try this, because they're going to have to cast a much wider net to get girls.

That's crazy. How did he go broke? If he asked all of them to dinner then lols. Why not meet for coffee, spend 5$ then take her to his place to drink alcohol. If she doesn't want come just next her.

Z,

I knew a guy like this who just wanted to bang as many different chicks as possible, and he had similar tactics and results as rafiki's friend. And it's not like all of the prior chicks just disappeared, some of them became part of the booty call rotation.

The first date could be cheap, but he'd close on date 3-4 often, so he'd have a whole rotation required.

My only concern with this is enough original content. Imagine it takes off, 5-6% of men start to use it, and then send the messages to the girls. Quickly you'd start to hear "nice try loser, who hires a company to come up with dating messages". But initially it would probably be interesting.

I think guys who coach this 1 on 1 have a viable potential model. I may just try this, like Bored To Death, only a slightly different plot for the show

I suppose the service has to basically guarantee that it could get you on dates. But closing on said date is a whole other set of skills that would need improving.

Ya this. The funny part was eventually in a small city, the web of lies got so intense. He couldn't remember who knew what, was running from date to date often in the same night. Honestly living vicariously through his stories that year was pure gold.

Eh, imo the only bad posts are the ones he copies and pastes that have all the @&!"$/ crap in them from formatting that he doesn't clean up. But I just skip those. A lot of what he has posted is useful.

Also, spreadsheet guy is awesome. Totally unsusprised he was recently divorced as there is no hornier being on the planet than the recently divorced male.

What kind of response rate are you guys getting? I'm talking about first-time response, not sustained conversation.

I have definitely had better success on OKC than POF for whatever reason.

Is it David Merkur? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/sex...oes-viral.html

Anyways, if anyone is curious I'm going to set up an OKC profile right now and use BL's lines. I think it's horrible and I get super uncomfortable reading it but he's acting like it works so I am curious to see if I know even less about women than I thought.

I think this really has a lot to do with the type of women you're going after (ie how wide are you casting the net). But on eharmony by the time I'd perfected things, I was getting about 50% reply to the initial contact. I found that from there I'd lose another 50% in the next stages. That's compared to POF where I think I may have been getting 10% initial reply rates.

Yeah okay I'm probably not too far from 30% but my messages aren't that good obviously. Looks like I got some work to do.

Yeah I think I average around 10-20% reply rate on first messages on OKC. Then again, it'd probably be higher if I targeted girls like BL and used that PUA garbage, but as someone that prides himself on being creative and unfortunately, himself, I can't bring myself to do anything but write something personalized to each girl. Would get brutal going through streaks of 60-70 in a row of no response, even if many were out of my league as far as looks.

I kinda skimmed pages 2-3, is there anything to do with girls who only say 2-5 words on every response? My typical response after a message or two of that is simply no response but it seems like there's potential to get her to start babbling.

Depends. Usually girls like that get messaged a ton. If they ate hot. That's why I reiterate transitioning to a date faster. Say something funny then let's goooooo....
