WVU did/said some less than popular things but he always took accountability and I respect that.

I grew up in NOVA and it wouldn't surprise me if it was a car accident. The drivers around DC are atrocious.

To those asking I've gotten word from friends they will release details to us once the family is fully made aware. Until then everything is just speculation.

Still kinda hoping it's just a bizzaro missundertanding ...

Very reasonable. To everyone else, I think it's a fair request to let killa be the first to post any details of the circumstances so that family learns everything first hand before we do. You get no points for being the super sleuth. Let's handle this sad case with respect.

RIP WVU. As a long time OOT lurker (yeah you can be a lurker with 20k+ posts) your posts have brought me more entertainment than all but a few on here. I found it incredibly sad that when I searched for you on 2p2 after I found out about your death that one of the last threads you participated in was about a trip to Europe you were very excited about taking around this time. From everything I have read it seems you were turning your life around which may be the saddest thing of all. I wish your family and loved ones nothing but the best and can only hope you have found peace in whereever you may be.

He pretty much did turn his life around, in very short order. Landed a good paying job, poker was going decently for him, and he was clean. Can't ask for much more than that.

What always struck me about him on here was how honest and humble he was, even in the face of all the **** that got thrown at him. And when he was wrong, he made genuine effort to change. Something I can definitely learn from.

I don't really think that it's notably sad that he turned his life around.* I think it's nice that the enduring final image that his friends and family will have of him is one of redemption and personal accomplishment. It seems like he was someone that many people saw unrealized potential (even amichelle for all of her madness) and that he was often viewed as wasted talent. The last however many months will probably do a lot to change that and I think that he was able to prove to whoever (himself, his family, friends, 2p2) that he had found a peace and maturity that he lacked for a long time. I dunno, there seems to be some silver lining in that to me.

*I'm not trying to attack anyone who has said so, just offering an alternative perspective.

Wow. I never paid much attention to him around here, thought he was a mess...but the respect he's getting in this thread is noteworthy. I wasn't aware that he had appeared to straighten himself out.

I definitely needed to come in here and pay my respects. RIP.
