WHAT ARE POWER RANKINGS? Power Rankings were established as a method to measure the depth and ability of OOT posters. Each individual posting performance is assigned a point value, somewhat similar to a professional sports scoring table. Through rigorous scientific analysis and qualified peer review, we are able to generate a statistically valid proven model using the full population of data. While there have been some great OOT posters in the past, these are the current standings. Recent LC participation is mandatory to be ranked.

TOP TEN NOTES:

- foatie has finally been knocked out of first place, by none other than our scrappy resident bogan Rexx14. This is the culmination of significant time and effort on the part of Rexx, and is a well deserved accomplishment. Many of us have known for weeks that this was all but set in stone. Once she set her eyes on the prize, it was only a matter of time until foatie got his bell rung. It also helped that foatie refuses to turn his tapatalk signature off.

- amoeba has shot up thru the ranks mostly via his high food IQ to land in spot #2 thanks to some truly stunning work in the chinese dumplings discussion amidst other general quality posting. Another placing that has been long in the coming.

- foatie is still holding on in #3, but it doesn't look good for the future. His A-game is a match for anyone, but the two above him just wanted it more. Is it midnight for this Cinderella?

- the Great Oreo rounds up the #4 spot, crippled by his mod status as well as his vegan sushi chef choice of occupation. You can tell he knows, it, too. He's just having fun out there most of the time, knowing he's gone as far as we'll see him go.

- lapka has pulled into the #5 spot with relative ease, thanks to Speakpipe, her grammar thread, and calling people butts. Still working on her fundamentals, but the kid's got a lot of heart and is willing to leave it all on the field when it counts.

- Don't put El Diablol out to pasture just yet, folks. This tried and true workhorse is still making plays and is certainly still the go to guy for a quality post. The sun hasn't set just yet.

- lbr is squeaking in at #7, courtesy of his pithy one liners and rabid fan club. This is someone who absolutely gets the most out of his abilities and is an inspiration to us all for overcoming his challenges.

- jmakin has significantly improved his game over the years, and this year is no exception. Once just a yammering hothead, he's turned into a real lunch pail guy, contributing solid effort each and every day in a consistent manner.

- Rei almost had jmakin, and we did have to doublecheck the numbers to be sure. Here's an explosive playmaker if we've ever seen one, coming out of nowhere to deliver, time and time again. Criminally underrated for a ridiculously long time, it's Rei's time to shine.

- codesis3 has been spending a lot less time at the game with Code3, and has really been upping her game, capping our top 10 in the final slot. Here's someone that understands this is a game of attrition, and is willing to grind it out on the daily.

I'm weary of poster rankings after Chilltown was anointed the second coming in SE and then fell into all sorts of internet delirium. He was quite funny in his heyday though.

Fun Chilly fact - he would pop into skype chat every so often on a rant. Whoever tried calming him down would get blocked until there was nobody left to talk to, then he'd bounce out.

I pretty much only post in food threads in a didactic manner that is probably off putting to a lot of people so #2 is way too high. Would be happy with a top 25 spot.

I might not read enough threads anymore to really know, but my gut is that Alobar at 41 invalidates this list.

amoeba - humility isn't going to get you past the bogan. You'll need to put some real effort in.

LFS - Alolbar has definitely been slipping in the rankings lately, mostly due to his prison stint and resultant absence from OOT.

Kioshk is a much better poster than me. I demand a recount!

Not a big fan of the list because I don't see how anything good comes from it. The list is invalidated by putting Howard B and Kioshk at 60 & 63. Lol Chop

I am flattered but think if you judge my work in OOT alone, I don't deserve to be this high.

I understand why alobar is so low, he hasn't been posting much in the last year.

I think fabian should be higher. 27 is way too low.

I'm not sure how I was above you - it makes no sense. I guess we can only conclude that Chop contracted some sort of brain parasite while he was in Africa.

chop's model doesn't like me because I make too many hopeless MLYLT posts. It's fine, just need to throw the model out and make a new one from scratch.

I'm guessing his model heavily weights improvement and you're the most improved poster OOT has.

Personally I like my position at 14. It gives me motivation to continue improving my posting/moderating in an effort to crack the top 10.

As far as anything I didn't know existed over 30 seconds ago can be an outrage, this is an outrage.

That said, there's no way that a crowd-sourced list would snub Fabian that hard, so the algorithm might be a bit broken.
