DOGS - ayahuasca retreats are popular in a lot of places. There are a bunch of them in South Africa. Acacia Nilotica extracted DMT is more popular, though. There is also quite a bit of iboga as you head north, which is often compared to both.

I'm a huge Henry fan and think he was an elite poster. That said, he was always far more concerned with digging in his heels and backing up his original point of view than in acting in good faith to arrive at the best possible POV, which I think dents the notion of flawless sensibility on his part.

(I can understand how Howard may be particularly forgiving of this quality in a poster.)

Henry was (and probably still is!) absolutely one-of-a-kind. He annoyed the crap out of me sometimes but boy oh boy did he ever have a unique viewpoint that really got people going. The Amanda Knox thread going consistently for however many years is still amazing to me, especially since the guy arguing with Henry all that time was probably getting paid to do it.

henry is my #1 favorite poster of all time followed closely by gregorio and LBR.

i think we drove henry out with that unfortunate thread where people grilled him on his financial situation. a big weakness of his was that he could never just let something go, but people were kind of really unfair in that thread imo. he didn't post here much after that incident. i forget what thread it was.
