As I was typing up my "clever" response I realized that beer was the exact same concept. I wasn't trying to solve the upper-middle-class morning beverage conundrum, but was interested in what the marketers thought.

I mean lolmarketing, but there aren't many goods outside of coffee (and beer apparently) that rely pretty much solely on marketing to sell.

I guess they're the new cigarettes and jaegermeister.

“Leon.”

(Second barista interjects) “Best Starbucks name evar!!!”

Following photo reflects complete lack of confusion after giving up on using "lol-Ray":
my life has been transformed.

Exactly. I have never understood the love for Tim Horton's coffee.

I was once pretty much forced to buy a Tim Horton's coffee when I was stuck in some Ontario backwater burg... Brockville/Belleville/Brampton or some other such-sounding god-forsaken town. It was complete and utter hot-brackish-hockey-player-horse-piss.

Never again.

I hope you at least paid with your Starbucks card or phone and not used cash.

Gotta take advantage of those Gold Card Starbucks perks.

edit: lol Ninetynine99...

Lol, you basically proved the value of marketing right there. Coffee and beer aren’t the exception, they’re the rule. It’s marketing that has tricked you into thinking otherwise.

LC thread,

My grocery store now has a MOCHI BAR!!!
11-03-2017 , 05:26 AM
that seems about right

I'm currently in Buffalo NY. They have Tim Hortons here. Donks drink a lot of it in the casino where I've been playing the pokers.

Now I have to try it and see if it is indeed horse piss.

Strange marketing by OOT.

Here's the thing about coffee:

It doesn't taste very good

I love coffee, I love tea.
I love the java jive, and it loves me.

There's not enough of a stigma against gifs with words superimposed on them. The words are either an enhancer or a non-ruiner like 2% of the time (e.g. this), but the other 98% of the time it looks hacky as ****.

This problem needs to be conquered before we can move on to eradicating gifs that loop too quickly to be anything but terrible.

I love me some Philz coffee, but it is expensive. $3.50 for a small, $5.00 for a large. But man it's tasty stuff.

*grunch*

That cow needs a sammich.

That Trump one is non-terrible; the one-word gifs are clearly the best (or least bad) of the word-imposed gifs.

The atrocities are the ones where it shows a person talking and there's an entire sentence imposed below them that isn't even what the person is saying. I can't believe how common those are.

Thanks for everything, tumblr.
