HT: Have you uploaded a clip of you saying Ray yet? If not, get on it!

dk: While I agree with you on principle, that seems pretty standard, especially for a big city. Around here, regular coffee costs $2-3, and espresso drinks cost $3-5. Mochas and lattes tend to be the most expensive. And that's just at normal Peet's/Starbucks type places, not "artisan" coffee places which are even more expensive. How much do you pay for coffee?

I don't drink coffee and can believe it is standard. what suckers!

Starbucks is a pretty bad place. The thing is that I totally can imagine to pay 4 Euros for coffee, but .... I mean it has to be good coffee and not water from washing the coffee machine, I want to have a porcelain cup, comfy seat, nice table, unlimited WiFi, cookie without to buy it extra and a relaxed atmosphere to my coffee. Starbucks fails at all this except WiFi.

McDonalds McCafe tastes better than Starbucks at 1/2 the price. Plus you have McD's app benefits.

Tee up the mockery. Speakpipe can’t access my microphone. Not clear to me how to fix this.

Have one of your daughters show you how to use the internet.

YES YES YES.

Atmosphere is not there, but McDos small coffee for 1 Euro here is totally good deal regarding the quality of coffee.

HT,
which browser?
I assume you checked that the mic works with something else.

I totally agree that Starbucks is garbage. Luckily in SF we have great coffee shops/cafes on every block.

Safari. The mic definitely works with WhatsApp.

I'd like to see a study on why people actually buy a particular brand of coffee. In Canada#15 a significant portion of people buy Tim Horton's instead of a clearly superior brand just because Canadaomghockey#1

"SpeakPipe now works in Safari on iPads and iPhones that are using iOS 11."

Do you have iOS11 or something else? Access to windows system with chrome/firefox? Or I am pretty sure it must exist some easy online voice recording for iPads.

Tim Horton's drinkers are the same people who drink Blue or Canadian.

Lol obviously - but what makes coffee so unique? I mean it's a relatively cheap frequently purchased consumer good - but I'd be shocked if some business school somewhere didn't do case studies on the coffee market.

probably. and I understand paying for atmosphere, but people pay the same amount getting it to-go! madness
11-02-2017 , 05:06 PM
Dk,

Do you ever buy sodas or juice or any beverages like that with a to-go meal?
11-02-2017 , 05:07 PM
Grando,

What do you mean when you say “what makes coffee so unique?” Unique how?
11-02-2017 , 05:37 PM

It's the most complex beverage on the planet from an organoleptic perspective.
