Yea the exposed card was huge, my chat explained it to me because I was drunk and not thinking well - the ace limits his range to basically just AK/AA, and like I said on stream MAYBE he spazzes out with AQs but I doubt it because the table was still tight as **** after the bubble.

It’s a turbo muck without the ace I think. I think if the King was exposed it wouldve been exactly the same.

I’m really curious how the card was exposed, salomon seemed really upset about it.

I agree — the K being exposed would exclude AA QQ and JJ from Salomon’s range, just as the exposed A excludes KK QQ and JJ.

If a Q were exposed, it’s a totally different situation and would require Holz to fold, because AQ isn’t likely and it would then define Salomon’s range as QQ exactly.

Really interesting situation.

It seems like what happened is that he accidentally exposed the A to the short stack who was already all in and called by Fedor at that point. I don't know if the short stack announced that he'd seen the card, but when the TD learned that one of the players had seen the card, he ruled that the card had to be exposed to everyone in the hand.

Some people think that was a stupid decision, since the person who saw the card was already all in and thus not involved in any further action. Since Fedor had already called the first player's all in, Fedor was not disadvantaged by not knowing the card that had been exposed to that player, so there was no need to show Fedor, as doing so only punishes Salomon. Other people think, rules are rules, and if the rule says if one person sees the card it has to be exposed to everyone, then there are no exceptions.

Is this a thing? I recently met an Aussie 2+2er and he did make an offhand comment about the sun being stronger in Oz than in LA.

Sort of. Theres an "ozone hole" above australia but it probably makes very little difference in regards to how strong the sun seems. Aussies get a lot of skin cancer, but i think it is mostly due to them mot being suited to living that close to the equator.

One other factor living in Asia has taught me is that pollution provides a good deal of protection from the sun. I havent been in LA for longer than it takes me to walk from the international terminal to domestic but i wouldnt be surprised if pollution plays some role as well.

I thought this was shaping up to be a sweet multi-accounting joke, but alas...

I remember the saklad days of Diablo trolling Zeejustin about his multi-accounting at ever opportunity. El D's favorite was when Justin said that on the off chance when he had two accounts at the same table, he never used it to his advantage.

The super powered Australian Sun is definitely a thing. I hired a barrister there for an arbitration hearing about a power plant. A couple of months before the arbitration hearing, he was diagnosed with a skin cancer, and he was dead nine weeks later. He was fair-skinned.

I would add the sound of the didgeridoo as being one of the deadly things encountered in Australia.

Bonobo joke is solid.

LFS was already making the multiaccounting joke imo.

I was the with the Aussie in LA too. He pretty nearly drained a spray can of sunblock. There was almost a panic about being out in the sun. I've seen a similar thing from people from frigid places like Wisconsin. If it threatens to get cold they get prepared like thier life depends on it.

Missed the LFS joke, nice...

It was something ridiculous, wasn't it? Something like if he happened to end up with two accounts at the same table, he'd offset this enormous unethical advantage by opening up more tables so that he'd be distracted.

I've got a bag of sauerkraut and hotdogs but no buns. Wait till I find a store or use bread?

Damnit, I wish I had known. There is a solid hot dog cart near my office, but I made a reservation at a local Indian joint for lunch. Perhaps I’ll just embarrass myself by trying to order a hot dog there.

IIRC you said "It's the same sun."

No Chicago's, too many missing parts. Do like the dogs dragged through the garden better though.

I saw this sign at 7-11 today.

I don't imagine anybody took them up on this offer.

El D,

What's with the different posting style? Are you just trying out something new or is this it now?
07-19-2018 , 03:14 AM
Rexx,

What?
07-19-2018 , 04:33 AM
Rexx: when El D addresses multiple posters in one post, that's his standard style.

El D: that's right, right?
