Neil,

With all respect, you’re an idiot.

I see Villian as a good guy with some attachment & abandonment issues. He also has an understanding of "the greater good" in trying to date someone that has issues that make a relationship toxic. He's probably an easy going guy who is very loyal and would make a good friend. These types of people feel a strong sense of betrayal ending relationships, even if they're toxic. I've gone through these same issues. While you and the toxic GF have been through a ton, you weren't put on this planet to fix her issues which can never be fixed. Spending your youth dealing with a grief that's robbing you of the best years of your life if a regret that you don't deal with until much later. Then much later, it's only going to harvest a strong resentment in your heart towards people if you have no one there for you when you're going through tough times.

Bad relationships are like vampire stories. You have to invite them into your life first, then they slowly suck the soul out of you. Eventually, you'll hit a wall where you're going to have to end it before it changes who you are as a person for the worse. You'll feel much better for giving yourself the opportunity to be with someone who you deserve and can reciprocate good habits that make relationships work.

And in the hierarchy of real life terrible people on 2+2 it's Mbabs in a landslide with TBabs a far second. Main reason, MBabs' toxicity will eventually spill into molding her kid's personality which often makes trainwreck adults who procreate and continue the cycle of mentally unstable sociopaths who should not be parents/partners/spouses. TBabs, you would only come in contact with through self-harming degeneracy like online sports betting. He's completely unavoidable, unless he picks you up in an Uber. Plus his chances of having a kid at this point in his life, whose life he could ruin by merely existing is very small.

Natamus, El D: You guys made me see the difference. With bars they just shove the customers out and the drink situation takes care of itself. With casinos customers aren't leaving so they need to take the glass. Seems pretty obvious now

Chop, foatie: Great posts. You guys have a good grasp on his character and the situation imo. You were also able to articulate it way better than I could ever hope to

It seems meeting people from the internet/2+2 irl changes your perspective of them dramatically.

And speaking of, Howard when are you buying Larry and me soup dumplings? Also looking to maybe try a new BBQ place in the seaport district.

And in some cases it apparently leads to the exact opposite change of what it should lead to.

That's bull**** and you know it. MLY's 'abuse' has nothing to do with her gender.

The support Villian is getting is proportionate to what kind of person he is, not because he's male.

This is wrong. I make no excuses for the disaster that is mbabs, but the fact she is a woman is a factor in the amount of vitriol she receives.

It's not because she's a woman, it's because she's the type of woman she is. The no redeeming qualities type that is a social dread for anyone that chooses to listen to her. People treat seemingly normal women like Lapka & Rexx with a certain amount of respect even if they're in the middle of a dispute.

There is some chance of me coming into Boston in the evening of August 27 or thereabouts. There are some moving parts but I will let you know as soon as things firm up.

Also: I’m allergic to wheat, so no dumplings for me. Given my preferences, I’d go to Moon Villa, which I frequented in the mid-eighties, but I haven’t been there in thirty years and current reviews on it are terrible. I’ll certainly defer to your sensibilities on Boston restaurants. Should I wear a James Worthy jersey to piss Larry off?

Not from me. Mbabs’ gender is entirely irrelevant insofar as I’m concerned.
07-17-2018 , 02:01 PM
I am not going to assume anyone's gender itt just fyi.
07-17-2018 , 02:13 PM
Okay, maybe MLY's gender is irrelevant to the way she is treated here, but in Babs's case it's entirely due to racism.
07-17-2018 , 02:15 PM
If mbabs' childhood stories are remotely true I think she deserves way more credit than babs.

Someone who was abused and poor vs someone who was spoiled and rich are not assigned the same levels of responsibility for their ways in my eyes.
07-17-2018 , 02:17 PM
I discriminate against Tbab because of his poor driving skills just fyi.
07-17-2018 , 02:20 PM
Josie, last summer I tried cold-brew coffee on your recommendation but I just couldn't get into it. But I tried it again this year and have been drinking exclusively cold-brew iced coffee for a few weeks. Not sure if I just didn't get the proportions right last year, or if it's because it's been so damn hot that coffee straight from the fridge has won out, but it's been great.

This.

When has anything she said turned out to be even remotely true?
No doubt she had a ****ty childhood, but how much of what she told us do you really believe?
O/U is like 10%

Bull****! The fact that she is a woman is a factor IN THE AMOUNT OF ATTENTION SHE RECEIVES FROM MEN.

Had never heard of Moon Villa, but seems like quite the ****hole haha. Still wanting to get to The Smoke Shop BBQ, but haven't had the opportunity yet.
Owner is Andy Husbands of Tremont 647, a prominent Boston chef that has recently switched over to BBQ almost exclusively. Keep us posted.

Another great option is Lucky's, which is like walking into the Dresden in Swingers. I'll be Sioux.

I went there and literally had so much meat I had a painful walk home. They had a special sandwich that was like 5 meats and after splitting a combo plate, an app and 3 sides I got the sandwich and another side.

It was heavenly.

Yum!

I still make cold brew at home, however, my current drink of choice is (2) turbo shots (dunkin term, these are shots of espresso) over extra ice with cream.

Pros:
Dunkin brews it freshly right there while you wait.
Better taste and holds up to ice well.
Cost is $1.79 vs Cold Brew @ $3.59

Cons:
None!

Jose,

Limping AA, flopping a set, and then betting $20 to induce action is no way to go through life sweetie.

Babs’ treatment due to his gender is entirely due to racism? This form of intersectionality seems extreme even for you, Greg!

Piles of delicious meat are fine with me.
