It is not easy to get out of such stuff. The behaviour is majorly regulated by other systems than higher brain. V writes down what his higher brain tells him. And it is what everyone here thinks " get the fk out of that" . But higher brain has not much say in what he will actually do. Sadly.

Certainly your second sentence is true, though I'm not sure his reluctance to keep his posts up is about the idiots. The non-idiots also plead with him to get out, and he knows it's the right thing to do, and it's hard to hear too much truth that you don't really want to hear. Though I agree that comparing him to M is a bad comparison in general, it does share an important parallel that they both know they're in toxic situations that they should find the strength to get out of, and they don't like being told about it.

V1 is an awesome dude in a bad situation of his own making as a result of being a kind, caring, and empathic awesome dude. mbabs is a horrible person whose entire life is a bad situation as a result of being a manipulative, ultra-selfish, sociopathic attention whore. She has no interest in improving her situation because that would reduce the amount of attention she receives.
