yea that sucks. I have used that tactic three times, once for Internet service, once for TV service and once for cell phone. and it has worked all three times. it did take multiple calls though, it all depends on how the person on the other line is feeling that day, and who the manager at the time is. usually they go with oh we are trying to keep you as a satisfied customer but there's nothing else we can do blah blah,etc than i will drop the, ok well when my contract is up i'm switching to ( insert competitor here) they have better pricing anyways, so i would not have to worry about termination fees.
