You have a couple of weeks left on your contract your termination fee should be prorated to almost nothing shouldn't it?

yea that sucks. I have used that tactic three times, once for Internet service, once for TV service and once for cell phone. and it has worked all three times. it did take multiple calls though, it all depends on how the person on the other line is feeling that day, and who the manager at the time is. usually they go with oh we are trying to keep you as a satisfied customer but there's nothing else we can do blah blah, etc than i will drop the, ok well when my contract is up i'm switching to ( insert competitor here) they have better pricing anyways, so i would not have to worry about termination fees.

Probably - I don't even know what ETF would be - I actually love the Verizon service (rock solid in my area vs. others that carry iPhone), so have no desire to switch carriers. I'm just irritated because I want it now.

They will be saved with your google account, but it will also bring over every random you have in your google contacts to your phone, so it may not be worth the effort. Just backup to iCloud and you will have everything you had before on your new phone.

Here's a 3 month old article comparing the speed of major networks in many metro areas.

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2405597,00.asp

Overall, Verizon is slower on DL, but faster on upload. But the kicker is that Verizon's network is much larger, so you're more likely to find LTE on Verizon than AT&T.

Loving my 5 right now. So much faster than my 4 which my wife is using now. Not a single complaint.

The fact that you can now add Microsoft Outlook based email from work is a huge plus too in ios6.

Now just need my Tardis case to arrive before I drop this thing.

I'm going to get a Lifeproof case when they release them. I'm a cook, so there are always little bits of flour and spices settling in my pockets.

Cool article and link, thanks! Also, wow, the relative difference (either Verizon or ATT) between 3G and LTE is very significant (less surprised about the LTE down/up, more about 3G perf nationally).

Hrm? I have I guess "Microsoft Outlook based email" for work which has synced through Exchange Server perfectly since I've had the iPhone 3GS. I must not be understanding what you are saying and what this benefit is.

3G seemed great at the time, but only because it was being compared to EDGE.

3G sucks compared to LTE--which makes anyone who says the 5 isn't a very big upgrade over the 4S incredibly wrong.

I can understand being pissed if you had a few months left. But it's one week. Just wait.

I was not serious about being angry and very courteous to the Verizon customer service chick - I'm pretty sure we even flirted, that's how good that call was.

I don't remember what it was, but I know it was insulting you - but then I thought how can I insult someone who has such an awesome avatar? He is doing something right.

it was $38 available at ATT store. But my work gives 25% discount. so 30 after tax with unlimited warranty for the next year. Not bad.

just switched over to a new plan on at&t
$190 for 3 lines all unlimited min and text
two iphones and a lg phone with a slide out keyboard
plus i get 20% off

was paying like 150 which came out to 135 after taxes and discount. this gives a bunch of extra flexibility and lets me tether.
