After a month or so, when the lines are gone and everyone got their 7 's, how can I as a tourist purchase one in US? On Apple 's official website you're required to choose a carrier, I obviously don't have one and don't plan to use the phone in US. Can I walk in to Best Buy or something and get one for same price as quoted on Apple 's webpage without any carrier, contract etc?
Yesterday I had my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Edge 7 and I was very impressive with the quality of the screen, build and the fact that the phone came with free virtual reality hedset - VR is definitely the future for a lot of leisure activities.
So what is currently the best phone on the market?

If it wasn't for the exploding batteries the Note 7 would be hands down the best. Until that's straightened out it's probably a tie between the iPhone 6s and the Nexus 6p depending on what OS you like.
If you have specific needs for the head phone jack, sure, whatever. 6s might make more sense. But for the average person there is just no way the lack of a head phone jack makes the 7 worse than the 6s.

But please keep the lols coming.
If you just look at the Apple Online store Its a $100 premium for a marginally better camera and ever-so slightly faster all around performance but you lose a headphone jack. Also, the price gap increases as you start to shop around. 6s is for sure the better buy AINEC.
Edit: Also, how are you even chiming in? You don't even have the device. I've used it side by side with the iPhone 6 (not S) and barely noticed a difference.
Edit2: The iPhone 7 has 2014 display specs (720p, 326 pixel density) so putting that side by side with any other flagship will be like night and day.
I went from 6+ to 7+. If you think there's barely a difference, you're just dumb. Or you use your phone in such a way that you have no need for a cutting edge phone of any kind.
And he asked for the best phone, not the best buy. If we want 'value' I doubt any version of the iPhone is the answer.
6 is fine too, you're still within striking distance of the 7 for sure. Although the slight efficiency improvement in the fingerprint scanner from the 6 to 6s is surprisingly nice even though its probably only a few milliseconds.
I didn't like the quicker fingerprint scanner on the 6S+, on the 6+ I could check my notifications by tapping the home button, on the 6S+ the fingerprint reader would unlock the phone...

I'm curious what cutting-edge uses you have for your phone...
iOS and Android are not resource intensive. The iPhone 6 more than handles graphic intensive games. But yes you're correct you gain a few milliseconds opening 20MB apps or whatever on the iPhone 7. Whether or not sacrificing the headphone jack and paying considerably more for the device for that marginal increase in performance is worth it to you is a question of your value proposition.
Every speedtest I've seen that involves real world usage has the 2 phones neck and neck in terms of performance (For example see video below). The 6s actually beats out the 7 in a couple of spots. Where the A10 chip shines would be some sort of finite processor intensive job like creating a time lapse. But how often are you really doing that stuff on your phone?
If the question is what is the best device currently I don't think you can say iPhone 7 and have a strong argument to support that claim.
You guys are both pretty annoying at this point and not really contributing anything to this thread. Please take this to the comments section of phonearena/YouTube/steveblowjobs/touchjizz
