Seems like Airdrop only works for other Apple devices from what I can tell? (laptop is Toshiba)

See if you have Dropbox as a share option in the photos app. You'll need a dropbox account buy may not need the app.

Whoa, just realized I can plug the charger cord into my laptop! Crazy. Where do I find the iPhone "drive" icon or whatever?

edit: I found Apple iPhone -> Internal Storage -> DCIM, but the last one is empty. How do I get my video?

Ok, looks like I just had to unplug, unlock the iphone screen and re-plug. Problem solved. Would have taken about 9 days to get first response in the Computer Technical Help forum lol.

You generally only have to do a re-plug and not unlock, but glad you got it sorted.

Does anyone still use the 2 + 2 app on your iPhone? I know it hasn't been supported for quite some time but I still enjoyed using it. Looks like it's officially dead. I haven't been able to open it for 2 days. Sigh

I like the new screen on the X, and I'm confident Apple can make the face recognition better than when I had a galaxy a few years back, but unless Verizon has a sweet upgrade deal I'll go for the 8 Plus. Really like the new watch and am thinking of getting one if I there is any market for the original ones.

I skipped the 7 but the X gives me a reason to get a phone without headphone jack

I can say with 100 percent confidence that Steve Jobs would never OK a release of this phone with that ugly ass notch at the top. I've owned every iPhone except the 6 but won't touch this one.

And not having a fingerprint ID is another no go for me. As soon as they fix these two issues, I'll buy one. Until then I'll stick with my 7 Plus.

Cliffs on pros/cons of new releases? Will be worth upgrading from my SE next year? Lack of fingerprint ID is a bummer, really enjoy that feature, though it seems like the kind of thing that will be quickly forgotten in light of other convenience technology.

I thought the watch could be gimmicky and not useful until I bought a pair for good friends for their wedding, now I'm convinced and will get the new one along with the X and 4K Apple TV. Color me a fan boy I guess, will report back in dec-ish when I can get all 3 together for the 18mo financing.
