Funny, but after a while everyones phones starts to slow down once they're weighed down with apps and data so that's why most people thought it was quicker. #jussayin

Guess I'll be making the switch from Vodafone to 3. £109 up front and £42/month for 2000mins, 5000texts and unlimited data on a 64GB.

It automatically carried over when I chose the existing plan or whatever the option was

I kept my unlimited, no issues for me.

Glad to finally have 64GB, I was having to remove albums with every new album I got, I usually run with 100 free mb lol. I'll have to fix that with the better camera as the pics and vids take up a lot more space, but still even using an extra 10 for music should be nice.

Hopefully these ship a day or two early like the 4 did 2 years ago.

Apple has an Apple Store App in the App Store. I noticed for a few days that Apple kept saying it was the best way to preorder the iphone so I figured while I tried to load the sites I would try the phone app. I tried the app at 259ish and it was up already, I was done before 301a even hit.

You wouldn't have an iPhone today without NASA.

Forgot to stay up last night to pre-order, so just did it. Apple site was saying 2 weeks to ship, so I tried the Verizon site and they're saying 9/21. Hopefully that's accurate, my mom's on her 4 year old backup phone right now.

I have a 4S and probably won't be switching for a while.

It doesn't seem like a whole new phone per se but then again there wasn't much wrong with the 4S. If this one has LTE, good battery life, and a bigger screen, what's not to like?

Ended up going in the store to order from Three (site has been down all day). Just hoping there aren't massive queues to collect on the 21st in-store.

My 4 which I got on release day 2 years is really slow these days, lots of apps crash, can randomly just take ages to load some things. Pretty excited for the 5 and to have 64GB.

On a daily basis way more people benefit from Apple than NASA when it comes to technological achievements. Apple started the personal computing revolution as well as the smartphone/tablet revolution which fundamentally changed the way our world works today and changed how we live our lives. Not to mention the enormous global economic impact Apple has by being the world's largest company.
In terms of sheer technological amazingness, hitting a big rock that's 1800 miles across seems less awesome than creating a computer made of hundreds of millions of transistors that are a couple dozen nanometers across.

Just pre-ordered from the Sprint site. I feel so dirty that it's come to this.

Anyway, they said they would "do their best to get the phone to me by 9/21." Not that I really care. I like my Nexus S just fine, and would be okay using it for another year. I only bought the iPhone because I've never had one and I was brainwashed by the corporation. Must. Have. iPhone. bleeehhhhaahhhhhh

Now I just have to figure out how to save my photos off the Android and get them onto the iPhone. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure Google has my contacts and will sync up no problem.

Is there seriously no operator in canada that has a less than 3 year contract with the new iPhone!! This is insane! Was hoping for a 12 or 24 month contract.

Damn didn't realize Otterbox charges so much. Used to getting them from Amazon at like half price of what Otterbox themselves charge.

Not sure if I should just preorder the Defender now or wait until Amazon carries it.

Well, to be fair, it is a quarter million miles away in an environment that is pretty much instant death if you lose your protection...

Wow and I thought there would be a slight drop in demand. I'm sure some of it is less stock due to the Sharp screen thing.

Still, a lot of iPhone 4 users ready to upgrade.

Glad I stayed awake and grabbed it right at 3am. Waiting 2 weeks to a month while everyone else has one would be torture.

Canada/Toronto here. Long time BBerry user who is finally getting an iPhone (Rogers pre order). I've used an iPad since gen 1 and have gen 1 and 3 at home now. Anyone have suggestions on best data plan combo's to maximize efficiency/minimize costs? I currently have the flex plan on both ipads (wife almost never goes over her $5/10MB limit, I almost always hit the highest tier $35/5GIG). She is still on a BBerry till Dec but I might consider a family shared plan if that makes sense. Also, any suggestions on how one can get more out of having multiple iOS devices in the same ecosystem? Things like starting a movie/book/song on one device and continuing on another or browsing a website on one device and then continuing to browse it on the other?
