this thread should feel terrible at how inferior it is to the real true GOAT November thread.

57 is fine as I am generally doing stuff and also as I am in the garden a lot it feels yuk going from the coldness outside to a really hot house inside. When my bf is home I'll increase it to 60-61 as a compromise. Most of the time if I am home alone during the day in winter I don't even put the heating on.

Definitely warm blankies for telly plus a hot water bottle. I gave my bf a heated blanket to use for telly so I am not a complete monster

I'll try on the pc another day and see if it comes out any clearer. I also have a mild cold so that's probably not helping.

Probably unrelated: "Most of the time if I am home alone during the day in winter I don't even put the heating on."

Steve it's November and I live in Australia, it's 74 degrees lol. Fwiw I usually get colds when it's warmer rather than when it's cold. I don't actually think there is any correlation to being cold actually giving you a cold and I'm not actually cold as I wear weather appropriate clothing and am pretty much on the move. If I was going to be on the PC all day working I'd certainly put it on.

Do you use Fahrenheit in Oz?

I bet your mouth is still frozen from living in an unheated hovel during winter.

That's quite a rude thing to say.

Just saw your post in the piss off thread, lol.

Once some euros in an airport asked me how hot it gets in my part of California (Sacramento) and could I tell them in Celsius. I said it hits 40 pretty often in summer.

They looked at me like I was nuts and asked if I know how hot that is.

Pissed me off (lol). The **** did you ask me for?

I'm nothing if not considerate lol. Although it could be taken that I'm assuming Americans aren't as good at maths as Euros so I'm screwed either way really. Btw what was the clue that made you think I wasn't female?

40 is hot. I lived in the desert at one point and so would often hit that. Definitely had the ac on then!

It's a strange area. Northern California so it is chilly and rainy in winter. In summer, it's desert.

Ive never known a woman who doesnt think its freezing when the house is below 70.

When i had my own place, i would rarely use the heater, sometimes i could see my breath while i watched tv! Ive since adapted to desire warmth more than i used to, but i still like to have a cold bedroom to bundle up in, and breathe cold air!
