since i am old i have no idea what i would want a card reader for one time. i dont want pass words on my money i want them to see me and my id before they give it away. i can go to my bank and take out or put in all i want in complete privacy in ten minutes or less.

plus i dont have to go to the bank often as i carry money with me. most of the people around i see nowadays if i turned them upside down and shook them 20 bucks wouldnt fall out. they have to go to a machine to get money for dinner.

and no to the question as you are responsible for changing your password and protecting it or tough luck.

I love how you ignorant Eurotards have no flipping idea what you're talking about.

See I'd rather make someone have my card and my PIN to get my money at the teller, rather than use some hokey 'signature card' security. But if you're with a bank that doesn't use anything electronic at the teller, then more power to you.

The reason the first payment and security deposit is required by either a money order or a certified check it to guarantee the funds will be available. If you gave them a check then move in and the check bounces, they have to go through the whole eviction process which could take months, so you could hypothetically be living there without give her a dime for two to three months.

Just ask her what is the maximum amt. you can pay using a card, then break up the 1,492.50 into smaller money orders. It doens't all need to be on one check.

Update: went to my bank website and found out I could get a cashier's check sent overnight. So I got that today and went to the leasing office to pickup the keys. I met the woman I've been talking to and she is indeed super old, along with everyone else in the leasing office. My new apartment is ****in awesome tho. There's a brick wall I can throw things at without disturbing the neighbors.

You may now resume politarding.

Didn’t read the whole thread but totally normal to be asked for that. The stock thing is weird and I’m not sure why you even divulged owning stock.

Also, you might want to consider finding a cheaper place or a better paying job, if you can. Sounds like you’ll be living paycheck to paycheck if you live there and that’s never a fun position to be in. Good luck!

GL Krunic. Bet you can fit a LOT of those tennis pictures on the walls.

As for the rest, what El D said pretty much exactly.

I divulged owning stock because I knew they would ask me to get cosigner when they saw my income, but I didn't know they only cared about income and completely disregard any assets that would take a whole 3-4 days to get to my bank account (which ironically is the same amount of time it took to get a cashier's check to make the first payment).

As for the proof of owning the stock, my strategy was to simply ignore that email and maybe the old bag would simply forget she'd asked. It worked.

I'm already moving in, and no I will not be living paycheck to paycheck, because I hardly spend money on other things, and I expect to have a 2nd job soon.

My mental health has improved drastically in the last 2-3 years and I no longer have an obssesive compulsion to post pics of tennis players anywhere.

Since I'm from the deepest darkest swamps of the USA, and smarter than your average moderator, this is a weird comment.
