Doesn't fit the thread, but the above reminded me of someone I used to work with many years ago.

Guy's name was Richard Everhard. He went by Rich. As I recall, a nice guy, not super smart, but competent.

At some point, he changed his name. To "Everhardt", because that was the problem.
