so we have an interest list of 8 so far, including myself. do we have 8 more?

last time we had 17, so for the last bracket spot of 16, i'm pretty sure we had a volunteer who offered to play the 17th person, and although the winner of that match had to make it through an extra round, they each only paid a $50 buyin instead of the $100 that everybody else paid (prizepool was still $1600).

and i do remember g10's shenanigans re: venmo and paying alobar after it concluded. while i think there was never any risk of non-payment, he sure enjoyed being difficult about it. pretty sure i told him he was unwelcome in the next one, but i'd be down to throw him an invite if other people want

GMLAW, idk if this makes any difference but everybody had a few days to complete each round and i think each round (best 2/3) took about 20-30 mins to complete. the default game was NLH but people were allowed to play diff games if both opponents agreed (gambit stomped me in plo8). like i said jmakin had scheduling issues with exams or something and everybody was cool with it. i'm sure we could find a way to accomodate if you are really interested and not just saying no in a nice way.

i admit that i could have omitted the #s that i assigned to everybody when drawing slips out of a hat for first round bracket pairing, but you guys were being pretty dolty thinking that those were cedes for a few minutes, and it had no material impact anyway. like i just sat down and handicapped everybody and then threw them all together randomly. lol.
